I’ve heard in the uk taking a mental health leave is paid and unstigmatized. I had to provide a lot of documentation from doctors as to why I was in need of one.

I feel a lot of stress over the expectation to work nights & weekends and cancel plans. If I work, I’m thinking about the thing I canceled and if I don’t, I’m feeling guilt that I’m not working.

I suffered a complete breakdown in 2014, due to severe client bullying. I was a senior executive and was thrown to the wolves by my CEO. Thankfully I had a great attorney and psychiatrist.
