I teach AP Lang but I feel like the students don’t take the class seriously. They seem as though they are there to socialize not learn. Any other teachers out there with a similar issue?

Watched the PBS Camp Fire movie- so heartbreaking. I initially thought the same documentary was being broadcast twice, hard to believe there are two "Fire in Paradise" movies coming out this week
LA-based teacher. Has anyone else been evacuated? I barely had time to pack anything and am not sure when I'll be able to go home. It's really frustrating and hard to get through the day
Did anyone watch PBS' Camp Fire documentary? Came out yesterday, there is a Netflix one coming out Friday (same name). Terrifying- can't believe we're stuck in this cycle of fires and power outages!
I am fried. 10th year teaching and I know how much longer I can do this. Annoying/demanding parents, disrespectful students, unsupportive admin. What keeps you going?
Was anyone in the Bay Area affected by the power outages last week? I had power at school but not at home...couldn’t get all my work done trying to conserve computer battery. When is fire season over?
Every morning I wake up anxious for the day ahead: what kid is going to be a behavior problem today? Or what struggle or difficult question will I have? Any advice on easing these negative thoughts?
Has anyone left a job mid year? If so, advice before departing?
Today I found out I'm being removed from my classroom position due to low enrollment. So much time and money spent over the summer, all for naught, or so I feel...Please send encouraging words 🙏🏼😢
I have to write a made up Response to Intervention (RTI) report for my School Psych class, but I cannot find a template to to use. Any suggestions anyone? I haven't had any luck finding one.

Today, we had our first staff meeting. Scores declined in state testing in a particular grade level. The teachers are taking it personally. What can I tell them to so they won't take it personally?
I’m currently a language arts teacher wanting to get her art teaching credential. should I go the supplemental route or do an online program specifically for art teaching?
Had anyone tried implementing TRIBES in their classroom? Is it a good program to build a positive community?
This summer, I taught Summer School. It was a fantastic experience: low class size, the freedom to teach whatever I wanted based on grade level standards, and no pressure from admin. I feel alive!
I will be taking the CSET Multiple Subject II. Does anyone have suggestions on what I should focus on or how to prepare for the math and science? This will be my 3rd time taking it July 23rd!!! 😖
What was your biggest class size? Mine: Kinder at 32 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
