All my projects are starting to get cancelled. I barely have anything to do this week. I smell Friday layoffs 🤠
This quarantine has sucked up all my passion for doing good work. Now I just want to do the bare minimum to keep my job and sleep the rest of the time.
I had a falling out with a best friend, who is a girl (I’m a guy by the way). We don’t speak anymore. What should I do if I ever run into her. Ignore her? What should I do if I run into her parents?
I don’t think tons of my coworkers have any idea that there’s a huge wealth gap within this industry and sub-gaps between those who come from suburbs with safety nets and the rest of us ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Besides death and economic upheaval, the other sad thing about this lockdown is realizing my coworkers have no talent when it comes to interior design. I'm considering doing meetings only by phone.
Zoom WFH secrets: No one has figured out yet the big black box thing in the background of my home office is where hubby dries and trims his pot plants.
Western countries will finally move to bidets for toilet. I anticipate toilet tech as a new small market segment. This whole thing has kinda antiquated reliance on toilet paper
Our clients that are newbies at WFH are showing up on calls with video on and dressed up. I can’t decide if I leave my camera off or let them see I’ve been running projects in t-shirts and sweatpants.
I’m more attracted to my husband since this lock-down. It’s made me realize how lucky I am. I hope others are seeing/feeling the same way and finding some joy in this crazy time.
I’m going to use my (crap) corporate AmEx to expense my $234 Spectrum cable bill. “Working from home” requires 10+ hours a day of high speed Internet. Come at me, finance.
Now that almost all of my communications with coworkers are by email, message or chat, I can be who I really want to be.
What’s the weirdest (SFW) thing huge done while on a WFH conference call so far? I just cut my toenails while listening to a client talk for 30 minutes.
Having my first stressful day of WFH. My Team mates got laid off, salary cuts, ex boss died of covid and i worked on weekend till late night. Plus i am gonna have to do 4 peoples work now.
I absolutely HATE third party recruiters. They continuously waste my time, always slice my rate in half, and have never have solidified a project for me — PLEASE GO AWAY! ahhhh.. I feel better now 💆🏻♂️
Corona allowed agencies to fire bad employees that would otherwise hold the space for someone good.
Was it just me or did DT seem legit scared in his press conf today? Like not his usual “if you even dare question me “ and nothing seemed “terrific” or “incredible” anymore
