What's your honest take on the typical # of years at SM before promotion to partner these days? I hear it's taking longer and longer.

are there metrics - such as total revenue/pped looked at service line levels - not double counted revenue. total rev/total pped... i would be curious if/how the ratio has changed the past 5+ years.
I am really poor at networking (casual superficial talk) but I'm much better at making deep one on one connections. I just started my consulting journey, what do you suggest I do to overcome this?
