I’m an account manager at a start up agency. I’d like to do an internship at GTB for brand strategy. The thought of $10 an hour scares me. In your opinion, will it pay off in the long run?
Q&A with Mike Bentley
Hi Mike, what are some things a junior Strategist can do to educate and improve their skills in this day and age? Also - how do you choose people to mentor? I come from a non traditional background
Mike, what do you think will be the most disruptive technology in advertising? How will automation affect our industry?
What are the three top things to keep in mind as a planner/strategist these days? Whether it’s career, client or culture related, etc. Thanks
As budgets get tighter and agencies become (hopefully) less silo-ed, do you envision account services and strategy merging in any way? Or are the functions they serve too different?
With Ford’s emphasis on SUVs only in North America, how will this impact global strategy at the agency? Will need to rely more on local market/agency expertise to do more heavy lifting?
Do you think Ford's review is an indictment on the AOR model and indicates a changing business model for the advertising industry?
I'm concerned that people might be enamored with consulting firms like Deloitte and their impact on ad agencies. What are the advantages that these consulting firms have over ad agencies? What are our competitive advantages?
Hi Mike, thanks so much for your time! Very curious about how your strategic process is impacted by geography since GTB is a global agency.
What's it like working in Detroit after having worked in major cities like London? I feel like the advertising industry only exists in LA or NYC.
I notice that you're Director of Analytics at GTB - can you talk a little bit about how you got into that role?
