My entire career, I’ve been referred to as outspoken, “feisty,” etc. and TBH I’m over it. I’ve watched men behave the same way, but they’re never called out or reprimanded. Quite the opposite.

I was told I don't have enough "gravitas" to "own the room." That said, I'm quite popular with GenY/Zs and they consider me a leader. Do I need to change my personality to please a GenX room?

I wear my emotions on my sleeve, which I think is ultimately a good thing, but as a guy, I worry that I'll seem weak if I show too much emotion, positive or negative. Any tips on how to embrace this part of my personality in the professional setting?
