If my employer doesn’t match 401k, and I’m already putting money in Roth IRA, is it still worth it to put money in 401k? Supposedly if I just DCA into S&P and never sell, there’s no tax on a regular non-tax-advantaged account either, so investing through a regular brokerage acct would be the same as through 401k acct? What am I missing here!

23, $100k in cash sitting at about 3.5%, $250k NW. no debt, paid car, currently rent in a UHCOL. DCA $100k in or go for real estate?

What is DCA incentive, can anybidy explain?
I heard TCS can decrease ur salary, how does mechanism work? And what components can be reduced?

Hi all,
I have 3.9 years of experience in tcs. Last year i was selected in DCA exam and started receiving elevated incentives. This year i was wrongly given C band and because of that my incentives are now paused. But the thing is my compensation letter still says my ctc is 8lpa. But in my salary slips I'm not receiving according to ctc. Currently I'm serving notice period and told the other company that my ctc is 8lpa. Will there be any issue on bgv when i join next company?

Can I get some real helpful guidance here?

Current finances:
-75k in the market (VTI,QQQ, ETFs and stocks)
-20k in Emergency find /Cash
-30k in Roth(maxing since 2019)
-60k in 401k (maxing since 2019

I don’t got much money expenses and wanted to know where to put my money during this market for the next couple months. Is it smart to DCA? Put limit orders in? Just hold cash?

Additional info:
-minimal rent / expenses (~1000/mo)
- started HSA this year
-130k, 3 YOE

If you guys came into a large windfall of cash today, would you immediately dump it into index funds, DCA it over the next few months, or wait on investing any of it until the market bottoms (which I know is unpredictable, but does seem like it’ll go lower). Thanks!

Since there’s no wash sale rule on crypto, anyone selling and buying immediately to capture losses? I have some old crypto (2013) and some new (DCA 2017-2021). Lump sum $6k now or DCA and contribute more as prices go lower?

None of those growth stocks going back to ATH anytime soon. Maybe in a few years some stocks with good resistance will bounce back to ATH.

Forget about your existing losses, and stop DCAing blindly. Do more research and find which stocks have strong balance sheet and strong future to be back over next few years.
Only pick selected few or blue chips for dca.

Easier would be to invest in index. Would still get solid returns.

like

So I was recently laid off. Wondering if I should keep investing into the market (dca into blue chip crypto + index funds) or if I should just stop since I don’t have recurring income anymore. For more context: I live at home and i have a decent amount in savings. I just would feel more comfy if I had $ coming in, especially given $ invested in the market now is losing value in the short term. But also worried I’m missing out on DCA and building long term wealth through investing. Thoughts??
