I recently opened a managed brokerage account with Wells Fargo which has a 1% fee. From what I understand, the money I put in there is invested into a blend of mutual funds. Should I just DCA this account? Should I still DCA VTI / VOO / other index funds? Do such brokerage accounts historically beat the market? I’m sick of looking at stocks and want to just fire and forget, but not sure exactly where I should be firing.

Is robinhood the only brokerage firm that lets you auto invest in etfs and shares? I have been doing dca in etfs and shares via robinhood becuase all other brokers make you do mfs, not shares or etfs. Given their earnings im not sure how long will they be around. Looking for options to not move to mfs for auto investing in individual brokerage.

My investment dial hasn’t moved at all after months of DCA-ing in this current market. Should one continue or just hold cash for a few months?

Option 1: margin loan based on brokerage account assets, Option 2: home equity loan on a paid off property. Looking to use the cheap debt to DCA invest in the market over the next few months. Have reasonable risk appetite, thoughts on one vs another?

I’ve been DCA’ing about 30% of monthly income into VFIAX/VTSAX. Given a raise this year, I’d like to keep putting same $ amount into those, but maybe take anything earned on top of that and diversify. Where would you diversify or would you just take the additional $ and dump into VFIAX/VTSAX?

*Note I am thinking about a down payment on a house within 2-3 years but can’t justify any type of CD given the rates, and not super interested in just having cash on hand (I already have an emerg. fund)

Bagholding is real these days.... I am exhausted! I keep buying the dip through DCA every paycheck to see the money disapear the next day.

Just had about 200k drop into my vanguard traditional IRA brokerage from a company distribution. Should I DCA it or go ahead and dump it all into a fund? Planning on doing VFIAX or open to other suggestions. Most of my portfolio is already in VFIAX.

Does compensation letter get freezed when we are serving notice period in tcs ?

Im part of digital through dca, and might recieve a C band due to the fact that im resigning. Wanted to know whether ill receive the new compensation letter with reduced pay(if i get C band) during notice period. Already recieved resignation confirmation.

People say DCA and market downturns are opportunities. However, I don’t think most market trends have had such underlying worrisome macro trends. Are people accumulating right now?

Friendly reminder to consider harvesting losses if you manage your own taxable brokerage account. Most people do this in December but it can be done any time. Hopefully markets will be up by the end of the year but if not you can do it again then.

I'm a buy and hold/DCA person and unfortunately most of the lots purchased in the last few months were down 10% so this morning I sold the recent lots for STCL and purchased similar ETFs (different enough to not trigger wash sales).

For the past few months my weekly DCA hasn’t been moving my investment account balance up at all. Trying to resist the urge to cut the weekly DD and save cash until things smooth out. Anyone else having the same issue or have words of wisdom?

I'm in confused state, need your suggestion. I'm fresher with 1 YOE, recently cleared DCA, currently in a project with no work at all & just analysing few incidents. I on notice period have offer from Capgemini fixed CTC of 8.5 & tcs ctc is 7.44(band dependent).My manager is saying he'll move me to development project but not making sure that I'll not get C band he's saying it totally depends on my performance & contribution to project but I haven't got any chance to work.Plz help me.

Inherited $750,000 last week. My plan is to invest with DCA over 12-15 months in VOO and VTSAX. Market has been unpredictable and I know lump sum will beat DCA 2/3 rd of time. Thoughts ?

In my HSA I am holding 4% in ARKG and 4% in PBW (clean energy index). Both are down 50%... looking to consolidate my funds, so I am considering selling them both and allocating the 8% into something like XT? I understand I made those purchases in times of extreme optimism, so that is an F on my part.

My other funds in there are 64% VTI, 16% VXUS, 5% VWO and 7% EMQQ.

Looking to buy, hold, and DCA. Would you swap ARKG/PBW for something like XT?

I got 3.71 overall IPF for my Final Aniversary Scheduled for 1st March. I got DCA cleared and my DOJ is 18th March 2021.

Since DCA incentives will discontinue with less than B band.

I'm not even sure that I'm getting band this year or not as I didn't initiated Project End Anniversary. Tried to check with Lead/Manager/HR/TD. Everyone has different views.

I am in TCS since Jul19 as a fresher... my experience so far is good...though as an ETL developer my work has become monotonous...I cleared DCA last year and getting a decent salary...I have already done couple of Associate level Azure Certifications...

I have to look after my parents and the only thing I fear is if I switch...I won't be able to take care of them...as WLB would be screwed...

I'm not sure whether I should switch or not?

How do you DCA? I haven’t used coin tracker or a comparable platform but do their reports calculate it for you? Or do you do it manually from a transaction history?

Just opened a Roth IRA and have enough cash to max my contribution earmarked for 2021. I haven’t put the money in yet though because of the current market volatility. Is it better to just pull the trigger and dump all 6k in or should I contribute 2k/month until April as a DCA methodology?
