Does anyone know the average Senior Business Analyst Salary at Amazon for the Northern Virginia/DC area? With 2 YOE. And any insight on the position? In the Healthcare realm.
Analyst here (graduated 2020 and started working virtually during pandemic wfh). Sharing that mutual jaded feeling with many other analysts about working a job we didn’t sign up for in 2019. All of the long hours, no worthwhile training/development, no feeling of community, and none of the promised benefits of consulting. Trying to understand the reasons to stay in consulting - if you’re experiencing the same, what benefits/reasons would make you stay for ~2 years at your firm?
Looking for a referral to McKinsey for a Data Analyst position in the healthcare space. Can anyone refer? 2+ yrs of exp. at Deloitte.
Should I be trying to up my LinkedIn clout? This one analyst at work shares something like everyday - curious if there are any benefits anyone has had?
Is McKinsey worth it? I have an interview coming up with a recruiter for a business analyst position. I currently make great money and work 45 hours a week on average. What are the benefits of pivoting to MBB?
How do i enter in VC at an analyst position (pre-MBA). I have been working in a consulting firm (focused on healthcare. Not MBB) in India for the last 2 years and have applied on the career portals/cold emailed multiple VC firms. I havent received any response till date and was wondering what would be the right way to go about this since its a very small network in India . Any lead or guidance is appreciated. Thanks.
Currently an A3 in assurance. I have two job offers: senior financial analyst (FP&A role) and senior accountant. Similar pay (a little over 40% raise), similar benefits. Will taking one of the offers limit me to just those types of roles going forward or would there still be an opportunity to do the other later on?
Looking for career advice. I’m a CPA, AWS cloud certified, interested in doing finance and data analysis/visualization work, learning Python and improving my tableau skills. Been working for 2 years as an analyst doing simple healthcare/workforce data reporting and analysis using excel. I want something more complex/aligned to my certs/skills. What type of work/career path should I be pursuing that utilizes my certs and skills? I’m lost......
Hi All I need reference on any operational role in Backend profile Preferably in Delhi NCR I have 7 Years of experience with Conduent as Benefits Analyst Note - I am immediate joiner as lost job in December due to COVID Situation Thanks
McKinsey 🐠, can you shed some light into the solutions deliver analyst position in healthcare?
Is anyone looking for a healthcare analyst/consultant/senior consultant or manager role at Deloitte in healthcare? Please message me if so and I can refer
Please don’t call me dumb for asking this but how would you describe healthcare consulting for dummies? I’m a Sr Analyst interested in healthcare (studied bioengineering, internships in med devices) and like my consulting career so far (tech strategy) but don’t really understand the major capabilities/functional silos of the sector
Opinion on current situation vs new offer? Current situation: Spotify, Boston, Senior Product Analyst, almost 4YOE, 120K TC no signing (now 145K TC due to stock jump), no promo in sight, long hours New Offer: Disney Plus, NYC, Senior Data Analyst, 185TC, signing bonus 10-15K, no 401K match first year, relo package TBD, unsure about promo and hours My initial thoughts: TC is a lot better but lateral move, company brand name takes a hit, applying MBA might be postponed
Was just offered a 35% salary increase with a new firm, better benefits, culture, and bonus structure etc. However the title is a step back. I'd go from consultant to analyst. Will this hold me back or should I not worry about titles? Total comp estimates me north of 120 as analyst, which I recognize as high.
I have a dumb q. I apologize in advance. Do investment bank analysts (eg in M&A or equity research) research mutual funds and pension funds? Do hedge funds analyst only look at hedge funds? I’m so confused lol
Thoughts on 90k base salary for senior analyst position with 5 YOE? Have defined contribution pension with employer double matching and also bonus of 10%.
Incoming BA at McKinsey, and was curious as to how the benefits are for the Business Analyst role? Also, what is there technology policy? Thanks!
What are everyone’s thoughts on ECM analyst roles and how similar or different would it be from a coverage group like healthcare or tech? Would it be possible to move from ECM to a coverage group later on?
Anyone work at LEK willing to chat about the firm? 1.5 YOE at boutique healthcare consulting. Willing to start over at analyst level.
Advice needed: looking to leave public accounting and tax for good. I have two offers between a financial analyst and an accountant role. Based on your experience, which of the two has the best/better exit opportunities (should I decide to pursue the finance realm or something else) and better work life balance? The bigger pay as an analyst is tempting, but the company benefits are meh.
I’m an analyst in gov’t healthcare consulting (using mostly excel and SAS). I’ve been doing it for 5 years and recently starting project managing. Wondering what I should be at for salary?
How difficult is it to pivot out of healthcare? Applied to be a business analyst for current company (1.5 years in) but am more interested in different industries. Thoughts?
Anyone has any idea about Clearview Healthcare Partners analyst/senior analyst salaries in HCOL cities?
Recently promoted to senior auditor and I am interested in becoming financial analyst. Can anyone give an advice? Experience, requirement, potential for growth, benefits, etc. What can be a good qualification to develop?
As a 23 year old Analyst making a base of 82k, does it make any sense for me to be investing in a traditional 401k as opposed to a roth 401k, assuming my salary increases as I get closer to retirement? Currently investing in a traditional 401k and a Roth IRA, but unsure if im doing myself a disservice in the long term by not taking the tax hit now.
Hello! 23 y/o, 2nd year analyst who is ~hopefully receiving her first bonus and wondering what tax elections / retirement elections I should make? I max my Roth, and should be close to maxing my 401K, but wondering if it makes sense to dump it in trad 401K to avoid the taxes? Otherwise would I just keep my normal paycheck contributions and call it a day? Thanks!
1.5 years at D, analyst currently making TC of 75k, located in tier 2 city. Looking at making a move to a boutique firm for about a TC of 105-110k. From a comp perspective it obviously makes sense, but is it worth it to stay at a B4 for the sake of better learning opportunities, networking, and the name, or take the salary hike from a relatively small firm with less tangible and intangible benefits, possibly also less growth opportunities? Anyone been in a similar situation?
Entering the last round for a strategy role at a small healthcare company, pay would be $90k base from discussions with the recruiter. Just got bumped to $69k (LCOL City) as of today in my current role in Tech but passed over for promo (Analyst with 2 YOE: 1 Banking, 1 consulting, both tech). I’m a non-technical person looking to get an MBA within the next 3 years and want to be in strategy focused positions. Would this hurt MBA apps and would it be a good jump to make?
How to move from healthcare consulting (analyst level) to PE shop focused on healthcare?
Hey all- I recently got laid off as an analyst due to large COVID cuts. Looking to make ends meet. Was supporting deal leads plan and manage projects (financials, resource mngmt, etc) and relationship mngmt between firm leadership and IT startups as well - both work I loved. Since I had <1 YOE in consulting (recent PSU grad), looking to get advice on how to move forward. Have ~1 YOE PM work in FS/healthcare tech prior to A. Friends tell me to get SCRUM certs. Open to any advice and thoughts!

Penn State 2017 grad in biz/IO psych, graduated after psych program at Yale to working in healthcare tech/IO/fin tech brand strategy, worked in client facing Wall St based investment management and Accenture working directly w leads on RFP/SOW scope/resource mngmt/financials. Grateful for any help/advice

Thoughts on Actuarial Analyst positions at Oliver Wyman vs. deloitte vs. large health insurance company?
Hi All, I am looking for a job switch. I am currently working as a business development analyst at Cognizant. I am into AI and analytics practice for LifeScience and Healthcare. I have good command over US Healthcare.
Got a healthcare hedge fund analyst offer with 150K base and up to 250K bonus. With comp increase potential but no clear path to be promoted to portfolio manager given the fund size. I have 6 YOE in consulting and a PhD in life sciences. Lifestyle is not much better than consulting. The hiring manager tried to convince me with “long-term upside” but of course cannot commit to anything given the fund is new. Thinking I should turn it down but wonder how others think
My younger brother is a senior graduating in May 2021 with degrees in Business Analytics & Information Systems and Public Health. He’s interested in pursuing a career in Healthcare Consulting. Does anyone on here know if their firm is currently recruiting for Associate / Analyst positions? Or have any advice when it comes to getting into consulting out of college? I transferred into it a year into my career so would appreciate any advice / insights / recommendations anyone has!
As an analyst, I was excited for consulting for travel, new work environments, and all of the benefits. Was absolutely loving it until quarantine hit. Will consulting ever get back to the old normal or will we be stuck working the same hours from home with very limited person to person interaction? As an extreme extrovert, I’m feeling extremely disengaged and generally depressed day to day. Looking for people that have high visibility to future consulting operations.
ClearView Healthcare Partners anyone willing to provide a referral? Applying for an entry level consultant position (PhD). Happy to chat about my credentials, resume etc.
What would make you choose a 3 person firm with less pay/benefits over a BigCo? I’m hiring in the new year and I’d love some thoughts from you all. Thanks!
My 401k is split between 3 funds - large cap growth, large company index, and total stock market index. 26 yo. Do I need to diversify or is this okay for now ?
How does an MHA look when applying to larger consulting firms (MBB,big4, etc.) ? I don’t have an MBA but I do have 2.5YOE in healthcare consulting and an MHA degree . Can I start out past the entry associate level?
Anyone aware of any open consulting opportunities at BCG within healthcare? Got 5+ YOE within healthcare
Leaving the firm and the country. What do I do with my 401k? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Don’t plan on returning to the US anytime soon and I’m in my late 20s.
EY 401k Matching question: recent changes say matching monthly I believe? Can I contribute aggressively and get the 18k over with and receive full match? Or do I need to contribute every check?
Interested in getting others perspective here. Senior consultant but received an offer in healthcare industry for more money and an upgraded title. TC for the offer is about a 25% increase, with the base being higher than my current TC. Currently working on a high profile client and have a decent chance of being promoted to manager next year but will probably go through hell this year to get it and it’s not a sure thing. Should I take the money and run?
Exited to industry in May and already looking to leave. However the other person I'm working with is going for maternity leave soon. We are working together as PMO for a huge transformation project and I technically can't leave until she is back because there is no one else to step in.... I feel like it's not ethical to leave them now but i can't take it anymore. They rushed me to join them and I didn't know that was because she was leaving soon.. :( What are your thoughts ?
Anyone else at Omnicom have all their health insurance accidentally shut off on Dec 10, not to be reinstated until the new year? I don’t know what to do.
Canadian living in the US, should I max out my 401k? Not sure if I’m going to stay in the US for the long term or move away. Employer will match but there’s a 4year vest
Is KPMG more adversely affected by the downturn? Friends at other big four don’t seem to have as many benefits cut or raises and bonuses eliminated. Are we not as fiscally sound or relevant in the market?
If you leave your job and take a month (or more) off before starting the next, what do you all do about health insurance?
What are the pay bands at Slalom BA level for 2 YOE? What’s a reasonable as or negotiation? Currently looking at new opportunities and hoping for some more insight about benefits
Anyone successfully parlay a partner offer into something like opting for part time with benefits? Boutique firm w great partners but don’t want the equity lifestyle. How to prep next few years?
Do you think your relationships work best when you're with someone who also works in finance/economics? Or with someone from a totally different area like Healthcare, etc? Discuss
If I start a new job this month and contributed 17k to my Big4 401k this year, do I just tell the new 401k how much % to take from each pay check to hit 2500 from now till Jan? How will they be able to know if I accidentally go over?
My dad is generally supportive of me, but downplays my accomplishments and treats my confidence like arrogance. He barely acknowledges my wins and can be slightly (but not overly) negative. He does say he’s proud of me once in a while, but I do feel like my feelings are often invalidated. For what it’s worth, he’s an Asian dad and will always see me as his kid rather than an adult. Any advice? I try not to seek approval, but I do live with my parents (moved out then back in due to COVID)
It really bothers me that I'll never have the confidence men do, and I think this will impact my career. Things like self-promotion to the right people, being highly confident in my abilities (rather than focusing on risks and mitigations), and just naturally walking into every room like I belong. I know these are not only qualities of men and I can develop them too. I'm just frustrated & venting because it feels like I'm trying so hard just to achieve the same goals. Anyone relate? Any wisdom?
My job said I can expense AWS Cloud Practitioner certification but I don’t know where to go from here? Do I sign up on Amazon somewhere? Where do I get study material? Etc
What are y’all thoughts on using Slack for team collaboration? Is it just me or is the platform over complicated and clunky?
Anyone who interviewed recently for Microsoft Program Manager role? How many rounds? Salary range for Redmond?

Can anyone recommend a Time Management course for employees? Bonus if it is tailored for Outside Sales people. Online/Virtual would be preferred as the reps are scattered throughout the country. Thank you!
Would the next couple years be a bad time to get an MBA since we’re about to hit one of the worst recessions the US has ever seen?
Feel like there’s conflating between the optimism people feel about reopening and return to work. By going to restaurants and ballgames, I choose to accept the consequences for my own enjoyment. It’s not the same tradeoff asking me to collocate with team members or travel to the client site…
My friend has an interview for a senior position at deloitte next week, could anyone please share how to prepare for it?
Qn about SPG platinum breakfast amenity - is it valid only once during the stay or for each day? I'm told I can use it only once during the stay 🤷🏻♂️
