Looking at exits into pharma and biotech. Have an opp at a biotech at the SM level. Total comp excluding equity is around $190k; RSUs vest over 4 years with annual refreshers, so first year equity would be around $6,200 and it would go up by $6,200 each of the next 3 years, plus whatever base bump I get. Very good benefits package. They envision 2-3 years before I jump either to AD or right to D. Solid opp? Or hold out to go straight to director level?

Recently promoted Deloitte SM in GPS/C&M (TC - approx. $225K for those who care :)). In the market to switch to Healthcare industry at a Director level. Accenture and others are ringing my phone off the hook. Accenture is offering SM level. Does it make sense to give up 10 years worth of network in Deloitte to go to a comparable firm for some raise and start over with no network? Or, should I stick to my original goal of switching over to the industry for a better W/L Balance?

I graduated in May 2020 and found myself excepting a Junior Art Director position in Healthcare. I never saw myself in health but with many agencies having hiring freezes I decided to get some experience and save up some money in the meantime. Fast forward one year; I’ve added a new campaign to my website and I’m starting to apply to consumer agencies again. Any tips to help me make the transition? Any place to avoid? Who have you noticed is hiring again? Thanks in advance :)

Have been pinged for a possible role as Director of Operations at a promising looking startup with a 50%% pay increase & equity. It looks like an amazing opportunity.. but my husband and I have just started trying for our first kid, and I'm not sure about leaving the stability and benefits of Big 4, even though I feel like I have run out of career growth here. Has anyone changed jobs at a similar point, or worked at a startup as a new mom, that might be able to share perspective or opinions?

New partners in big 4: do you think big 4 partnership is still worth it now that many big 4 firms are no longer offering lifetime pensions? How did you decide whether to stay or leave? And is there an ideal time to leave (like as a director vs. 1st year partner vs 5th year partner) based on vesting of benefits, exit opportunities, etc?

So I have been asked to join a large audit account as lead director. I am going to accept this role as I think it’s a great role. However, personally I know I want to start a family in the next year or so will be out on maternity leave for some time if all goes according to plan. Long term, I would love to retain my spot on this account post any mat leave but I know they would need someone to step in in the interim. Any advice? I know this is so long term but I can’t not help think about it

Salary Question - I am the director of digital marketing at a start up agency. I understand start ups usually pay less, but right now I am only making 30K/year with hardly any benefits. I also love my job, I love my company, I love everything about it, except for that fact that I only make 30K/year. I know now that my worth is way above that. I got an email back from my manager that was clearly drafted by the Director. My question here is should I be concerned I’m a target.

Had dinner with a friend last night and they told me someone who is a Tax Manager in BTS at KPMG was leaving to take a job as a tax Director in industry making $175k + stock options. Not in a major city. Does that sound accurate on both (1) big 4 manager to tax director and (2) tax director in a smaller city making $175k + stock options and benefits? Managers in our office in BTS probably make $110k and that’s on the high end.

What type of exit opportunities do people usually leave for? I saw someone leave as a senior consultant and moved into a director role in industry. Is this a common transition? I'm thinking ahead since I can see the consulting life getting old quick. I'll be doing another few years at the very least for the experience (and $), but curious to hear about how industry employers view healthcare consultants and how we match up with other folks in industry that are applying to the same roles.
