I just found out that our association management company is being acquired by another entity and we would be their first time into the non-profit space. I’m a senior Director of marketing & communications. It’s not clear who I will report to yet but this person won’t have experience in non-clinical healthcare marketing. Any recommendations from someone involved in a buyout before? And any questions I should ask as I advocate for my team, etc. thanks in advance.

I am ready for a VP position. I have been a director for six years, obtained my MBA, have become certified in Organizational Leadership from a very reputable institution and built two stellar departments in my field of healthcare. How do I make this jump? I am not being considered for VP jobs outside my org based on “scope and scale” and this position is not available at my current hospital. I’m ready to make this jump. Any advice on how to position myself? Advice much appreciated.

Trying to determine if I’m off-base: 9ish yrs of exp (7 + 2 post MBA). Focus in healthcare strat and org change/transformation — when folks call I’ve been asking for $175K base but the roles have topped out at $150K base. These are director level roles in industry and health tech. Is $175K too high? I’m currently at a T2 strat firm…

Between two offers, "Associate Principal" for m&a consulting in the Healthcare industry vs a Director at a F300 company doing M&A and Partnerships. Consulting pays about 50k more. What does the future look like in consulting? I am a bit nervous jumping from from "industry side" to the "consulting side".

Thoughts on $200k for a VP/Group Account Director role at a network digital agency on the West Coast? Apparently potential for growth is there etc. but rest of benefits package is pretty standard stuff. (I have 15yrs experience under my belt.)

Offer#1 : one of the premiere consulting in Healthcare (Provider) phase with Director level Position

I got an offer from a company recently acquired by Thoma Bravo, as in the ink just dried a few months ago.
It’s a Director level position, I’m excited about it, but I’m also concerned about the risk since the internet says that TB lays off 10-15% and slashes benefits, bonus and what not.
The job would be a 20% bump or so on salary, bonus and long term cash is much higher than current TC. Should I be afraid to make this jump?

Stage E startup valuation from recent round back in March of $2+b: base $175k, target bonus 15% ($26k), .008% equity, no 401k match, free health/dental/vision for me and family.

Let's take out work life balance and benefits for now.

Offer: LinkedIn BizOps manager, 170k base, 50k in RSUs annually, maybe 10k bonus

Current: post MBA position, ~200k total cash base and bonus

Promotion in a year: director at EYP, ~ 200 base, maybe 20% bonus

Would you take the offer or stay? Seems to me that from a comp perspective, LinkedIn isn't a wow. In fact, I'm finding most BizOps in big tech don't actually pay all that much.

Corporate strategy at global FMCG, potential to exit into P&L ownership or equivalent role in 2-3 years. Equivalent to “head of”/director title. Head of strategy/innovation at midsize regional insurtech in “scaleup” mode. Potential to exit into major role in 2 years CONT

Looking at exits into pharma and biotech. Have an opp at a biotech at the SM level. Total comp excluding equity is around $190k; RSUs vest over 4 years with annual refreshers, so first year equity would be around $6,200 and it would go up by $6,200 each of the next 3 years, plus whatever base bump I get. Very good benefits package.

They envision 2-3 years before I jump either to AD or right to D. Solid opp? Or hold out to go straight to director level?

Recently promoted Deloitte SM in GPS/C&M (TC - approx. $225K for those who care :)). In the market to switch to Healthcare industry at a Director level. Accenture and others are ringing my phone off the hook. Accenture is offering SM level. Does it make sense to give up 10 years worth of network in Deloitte to go to a comparable firm for some raise and start over with no network? Or, should I stick to my original goal of switching over to the industry for a better W/L Balance?
