Any MBB consultants out there who totally bombed a case in post-MBA interview? I’m practicing for my round one next week and just feel terrible about the cases. It’s been years since my last.

I'm a big 4 Acon in without an MBA. In my 2.5 years of work exp I have delivered great value across projects. Secured one of the fastest promotions along w best performance rating despite covid. My current ctc is 7 lpa while my project teams are full of IIM MBAs at consultant levels who get more than twice I get. Escl. to HR only to hear back that MBA is critical for improved pay and even if I get top class promotion again it won't match the bands. Why pay for pedigree (only) and not merit?
Is Accounting even a major that students are attracted to anymore? I’m helping for recruiting and we barely had any students show up for recruiting to a school where I went and the line for big 4 was wrapped around the wall. It makes sense if Going to school for accounting + extra credits to get to 150, lower starting salary, more hours during busy season, and have to pass the hard CPA exam. Doesn’t sound attractive to me.

Is Search time a common practice in consulting when you say you want to leave (McK pays you your full salary for 2 weeks + 2*years of tenure rounded up, so 8 weeks for 2 YOE, while you look for a new job)? I think Bain and BCG have this, but what about the rest? What about return offers for pre-MBA hires?
Feeling a bit lost on where to go next. Currently early 30s and 3 years post-MBA as a Big4 Manager. Currently in healthcare but not really interested in staying in healthcare or consulting. Any thoughts on potential pivots? Also wondering about picking up some harder tech skills as my work has mostly been from a generalist perspective.
MBB pre-MBA fish: do you only consider M7 schools for an MBA degree? How about T10 or T15? Happy to hear from folks who are interested to go back to consulting post-MBA or exit to other industries.
Feeling really lost post-MBA. Left consulting to go into industry, but on a team that turned out to offer very little growth. Watching my peers soar into director or VP roles after 1-2 years post-MBA and I’m still stuck at manager level. Scared to think about having a baby because I’ll be even further behind.

Hi everyone, I’m currently a first semester MBA studentat Pace. I was wondering what firms or companies are acceptable to apply to for a summer internship for 2021. Hey! I've always wanted to get into IB (prestige, money, you name it), however now that I'm in a more laid back environment (better WLB, "easier work") it doesn't seem as attractive as before and the pay is quite good for an analyst level (I think the pay is competitive even comparing with IB's pay in my country) . I wanted to know if anyone had the same experience and what were your thoughts (pursue an MBA and leave your comfort zone and "good pay" or just stick with it). TIA!

Hii all, I recently got offer from ICICI Bank for the role of Market Risk. I have completed my MBA Finance from NMIMS Mumbai and also CFA L1 certified. I have total 3yrs workex (around 5 months post MBA), no prior workex in Risk. Currently working in Business Analyst role with Accenture drawing a CTC of 12.1 LPA. What should be considered a reasonable offer for ICICI as I would be leaving Accenture in less than 6 months and also switching role from BA to Risk. Salary discussion is still pending.

Will there be a salary bubble like the housing bubble? Hearing how much people with 2-7 yrs experience are getting offered to move companies is blowing my mind. At some point this is not going to be sustainable and salaries will drop back down to reality. However, I am concerned that all of those folks with inflated salaries will get in situations they can’t support after the correction. Then what happens?
Fishes, appreciate your inputs in understanding what the salary range for Rank 42 could be
