European fish working in tier 2. Should I apply for INSEAD mba sponsored or try a move at MBB (2.5 YOE). Not completely sure of the benefits the mba could bring me in the short term
Divorced about 10 years ago and still cordial with the ex. I got remarried in 2019 and let him know getting a copy of the divorce cert was a nightmare and he should get started well before his upcoming wedding. I knew he would wait until the last minute and be screwed so I got an extra copy back in 2019. Guess who texted me today telling me he was having a hard time getting the form… ex wife still saving the day haha
Hi still fairly new to the industry and was wondering if people are willing to shed some light for me on this: (1). Are most people in consulting pre or post mba? (2). What’s the main difference between pre vs post mba consulting?

Fresher MBA here , got campus placed in ICICI Bank . The role was not made clear when they were taking us for campus placement. Now I think I am in very intense field work role as a RM mortgage. Should I stick in it for better future aspects or immediately switch due to huge field work.

So today I was told by my neighbor aunt that her son enrolled for MBA in some no name college with management seat( 10 lacks to buy) , I suggested why not study MS in Canada /U S or study for ISB/IIM since it has more value and quality. She replied since indian software engineers are getting paid equal to US , no point in moving there . And her son was confident he will get 40lkpa salary in 18 months . Is this assumption true?

Folks, help me out here. I have the ability to carry over 9 credit hours with Kelly School (IU) from a previous certificate. Current total comp is around $289K. I’m hoping to make VP in the next year, but an MBA seems to be almost a prerequisite. I can complete my Kelly EMBA for ~$45k, which I believe I can be reimbursed for. My question is; should I? Is it truly worth the time? Is Kelly going to be reputable enough to make it worthwhile? I don’t want to be in consulting, and I’m not currently.
I’m in tech consulting on the delivery side. I eventually want to get into private equity. I have the chance to move into an M&A practice in the next few months. Would gaining lots of M&A experience at Big 4 set me up for an entry into PE or am I doomed without IB experience? No MBA…
Anyone have the PMP certification? Did you have to take courses or anything to be eligible?
I became an M at Deloitte earlier this year. I want to give MBB a shot but don’t want to go down to the associate level. Total 7 yoe all in consulting
I’m fairly fresh out of undergrad (1YOE) in S&O and want to get an MBA in 3-4 years. I’ve only just begun looking into B school admissions and was wondering if B Schools would prefer if I stay at Deloitte or move to MBB before applying, or would it help my chances if I was able to switch to Big Tech in another year or two? TIA
What are the arguments for MBA vs EMBA? Seems to me that EMBA allows you to keep salary income so that is an obvious choice

Anyone has difficulty with spending more? Growing up incredibly poor and now I’ve accumulated a decent amount of money, prolly $0.6M or so NW (this is done pre-BCG as I just started recently as C). 33yo, not married, and already paid off a top tier MBA, so I feel like I should be ok to spend some but feel bad/insecure if I do. Also support parents with around $2K/month. Not sure how I should shift my mindset a bit to be less worried about spending. Perhaps it’s also the Asian blood in me 🤣🤣

What do you think will be the impact of this rapid hiring for MBB? MBB is hiring so rapidly. When it cools down, do you think MBB will realize they over hired? Will it become harder for associates (post MBA) to get promoted? Will it become more competitive for Associates to get staffed on projects they want to be on? Will there just be too many consultants at the Firm and a mass layoff? McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group
Why do MBA hires make so much for only 2 additional years of courses? Even when looking at the classes, it doesn't seem like anything crazy you couldnt learn from some other avenue?

I’ve just used turbo tax in the past but am worried of any documents I may be missing to adjust any tax. Also- when does the pro-rata rule come into play? I’m just nervous in the entire process as this is my first year doing this. TIA!!

I'm a Deloitte Tech Strategy & Architecture Senior Consultant with a Haas MBA looking to transfer to MBB. I'm up for manager this year and appreciate that if you move over you are expected to reset to first year post-MBA but has anybody been able to negotiate maybe a 2nd year post-MBA or even a manager/PL/EM entry? What specific tech skills are MBB looking for that they would be willing to offer flexibility on starting level. Again this is for the consulting not expert tracks at MBB. Many thanks in advance!
