Reviewing a salary offer for a Benefits Manager position in Greensboro, NC industry is retail. Offer made of $95k with 18% bonus. I have 16 YOE, degree in Business, and PHR and Shrm certification. Potential employer has 10k plus employees. I will have two reports and will report directly to the Director of Total Rewards. Any thoughts or advise on offer made? I will let them know on Monday my decision to accept, counter or decline. Thanks!

Per SHRM, I was just curious if any HR Professionals completely removed the following fields: social security number, recommend salary, graduation dates, military discharge info, race, maiden name like (Ms. Mrs. Ms), & criminal history questions. Why is it not easy for GOP to delay or cancel electoral certification on January 6th?

You got enough GOP congressmen and in my count, at least one GOP senator promising to block. Can they do this very easily and let the state delegation retain Trump and Pence? This seems a very real possibility to me at this point. I can never seem to under estimate GOP at this sort of thing.

Is anyone currently studying for the CMA exam? Or passed the CMA exam? Im slowly losing motivation to study due to extreme burn out. I took the part 1 exam and failed by 20 points. This is part of why I’m losing motivation. Kinda feel like a failure. Have any tips for studying for certification exams when losing focus?

Which firms have you gotten offers from, but gave them a pass? And why?

I realized a slow pace at work is really bad for me. A couple years ago I was experiencing burn out from my fast paced job supporting transactions, and believed by moving to a slower job in a lower cost area, I would be sailing off to the sunset. Wrong, I spend weeks following up with other teams, often times they forgot what we discussed, so I spent 50% if the time reminding them of the topics and next steps. I spend most of my time writing memos no one will read.
