I joined amex last december as senior analyst at band 30. What should I expect from my annual appraisal, bonus and rating?

For the Delta Platinum (and Diamond) medallion members (flight status not Amex card), what dollar value would/could you assign to platinum over gold? I’m close, but will need to go on a mileage run to hit platinum. Is it worth an $800 flight ticket?

I got an Amex card and have honestly been incredibly disappointed in the service. Everyone raves out the service, and yet I signed up and the link to the temporary card number gave me an error, then they charged me incorrectly for a duplicative fee, then I couldn’t actually active the physical card without calling yet again. Why does everyone like Amex???

I had the Amex blue preferred for 6% on groceries and 4% on gas, and the Cap One Savor for 4% on dining. (Combined spend between $1-1.5k monthly) Now I just got CSR. Is it worth paying for three rewards cards or would you consolidate? My hotel and air spend are pretty small in post pandemic life.

Amex card has been frozen for months, ~11k on personal cards for biz travel still waiting on reimbursement, 2+ months of auditor hell on expensing, and at this point I don't even invest outside of my 401k/HSA because it's too much of a pain from a reporting standpoint.

Anyone book flights with Amex points recently? Today I tried and was unable to pay with my points. No sliding scale was available.

I have 3 paid cards - venture x ($495 fee), chase sapphire preferred ($95 fee), and delta amex gold (~$250 fee). As renewal season comes up, I’m thinking of dropping the Amex and chase as they’ve only been open for a year and I get most of my benefits from the venture x. If I open a card with no fees at Amex and at chase, will I keep my credit card points? Or is there a better way to avoid the fees and keep the points for the year?
