Staying at the Ritz and STR in the Maldives so expecting good service and reading mixed things about tipping. I usually don’t tip much at hotels (never really thought about it) but what do people do? Is there an expectation and would the amount be based on like room rate or just a flat daily per day?

Best Marriott/SPG property for a couple’s stay in Amsterdam? End of December - want to be reasonably close to city center but not break the points bank (<~50k a night ideally )

It says on Bonvoy breakfast voucher that gratitude is included. Somehow they always expect additional cash tips?

Lyft driver delayed picking me up 30 min, resulting in me canceling my ride and asking hotel to call me a “yellow taxi” to get to the airport because it was 5am and all ubers/lyfts were 15 min. Specifically said yellow. Hotel calls me a private lux SUV and the driver got out of the car to handshake the man who called and said hi (honestly money couldve been passed). I then get hit with a $180 ride. Marriott website says taxi should be $65. Should I complain or let it go?

I just left a very toxic work place.
The crazy thing is they were just named the best local municipality to work for. It's upsetting. They advertise a "culture" but don'tapply it. It felt like a used car sales pitch, I was sold a dream but given junk. I am constantly replaying moments. I have read so many books and everything leads to they were the problem.
