Made knee jerk (mistake?) decision last year of signing on to be a Hilton Grand Vacations member ($1500 annual “HOA”, $300/mo. I had already accumulated 300k points as a member, have my Amex Hilton card. Is anyone an HGV member? If so, what’s your actual STRATEGY to make the most of it? I get it - it’s worth it maybe in 20 years if I hold on
Or for those who got out, why and when?

Anyone else having difficulty getting welcome points from American Express for any hotel or airlines? Years ago I got approved for a Delta card but didn’t get the bonus because I already had the bonus in the past. Recently opened up a Hilton card but found out I was denied the welcome bonus points since I’m deemed a high risk to close the account in a year. I havent applied for many cards in the last few years either and nothing with American Express

Any insight on Hilton’s Legal team (work culture, hours, flexibility, morale, upward mobility, etc.)? Considering making a move. I am very happy at my current company but underpaid (company politics are taking precedent) Seems like a decent opportunity but I am concerned about morale, among other things, given the 2020 Covid layoffs.

Traveling to Orlando with my 2 year old daughter in December. She is into princesses and Minnie Mouse. We are planning to go to magic kingdom and do mostly outdoor rides and experiences. Looking at hotels it’s around $150-200 to stay at a decent 4 star like a Hilton or Marriott. And $600+ to stay at a Disney hotel. I get that the transportation to the park might be a little easier but is it otherwise worth it to stay at a Disney hotel?
