#Rant The way people are running after big money (not a bad thing) and being encouraged to do so (literally, 2-3 yoe earning more than 25L) is just sad tbh. There will be a time any amount of money will be less because of this inflation. And people will just be after switching companies instead of learning and contributing (cracking an interview doesn't in anyway show your expertise)

Most of my friends are now working in EU countries and whenever I think of applying too, I tend to get emotional when I think of leaving the country. Sad thoughts.

Sad that I just bombed a case interview and realized how mentally blocked I get when I start to stress and feel pressured

Just got a rejection after a final round interview for a company and role I was really interested in. Feeling sad and dejected, and thinking about going through a whole interview process from scratch with other companies feels overwhelming. :( I was also hoping to secure something by end of September as that’s when my lease ends and I’m looking to relocate to a different city, so the time pressure and uncertainty is killing me. Just need some positivity.

I got two offers today and both offers down leveled me one level from what i interviewed for. I am not sure if i should be sad or happy….

I just got a new job and started (175k TC), but I am still interviewing thinking that there are opportunities out there which will offer me more money. Rejected by a company which can potentially offer me 190k and I am really sad and cannot focus now. Am I doing it wrong and not enjoying life?

Any reccomendations for keeping my brain busy after BOMBING my final round partner interview?

I’m in a process for customer engineer at Google Cloud. Already had role related, GCA, presentation and Googliness/leadership interviews. Recruiter got back a couple of days after and scheduled the 1st team introduction last week. I have the second one next Tuesday. Does it mean I got “approved” by the HC and now it’s a matter of finding the right team? Could it end up on a sad “we didn’t find a perfect fit this time”? What are your thoughts?

My preferred company A sad they couldn’t staff me till early May so they can’t extend offer yet. I told the HR I’m also interviewing with B. But the B thing fell through. How do I communicate this with HR of A?

Seeing all the job interviews I got rejected from the past three months makes me sad... I guess I shouldn't expect much...

Working Moms/Dads: Do in-house positions exist with flex time hours? I need to be able to leave work at 4pm to pick up my son from daycare, but i can get back online at home to resume any unfinished work at 8pm. Is this realistic to convey to any companies in an interview? Pandemic aside, is face time 9-7pm really important? Or should i just try to find a job with a salary that covers a nanny salary and accept that i will never see my son on weekdays (which would be sad for both of us)? TIA!

How has your experience been with the friendliness of interviews? Is it easy to connect or does it feel like a transaction (question then answer). Have they been friendly overall or hard to read? I’m really sad over two bad interviews and I don’t know if it’s me not being engaging enough or just the style of the interview :(

Well I just got laid off from the industry job I started a few months ago and hated. The fact that I’m not even remotely sad about it shows how toxic and horrible the experience was. Good thing is I already have interviews lined up and have been applying to jobs way more in the past week so I’m not even phased.

Cold applied for an awesome role, had an interview with hiring manager, recruiter, and given a pretty hefty assignment that I’m really proud of nailing. They followed up with an email asking for 4-5 days that I am available for a full day of interviews. Gave them 4-5 days, started planning for how I’d get those days off work during insane times at current job, and now not a single word from them to confirm a date. Been over a week now. Sad. Pretty jaded. What can I do? Already followed up

Low key sad situation but I’m pretty extroverted and have been at my parents place since March and have no friends here, and I literally get in a better mood after doing expert interviews because I’m having a deep 1:1 conversation with someone 😐

After 3 months of applying I some how got an interview with a well known growing tech start up! Interviewed and got an offer this week. Unfortunately the offer is lower than my current comp with 1 yoe but it gets me out of tech consulting/compliance and into a pretty interesting product facing role! A bit sad about a lower comp but also pretty pumped about pivoting career paths so early and getting to work in product! Hope this “success” helps motivate some of y’all who might feel down!

had a great interview at acn with a mgr and he gave feedback to recruiter that id be a great fit for an A position rather than a SA. spoke with recruiter and she said all A spots are filled..sad day😔

Nothing sucks more than going on an interview(s), thinking you did well, and then not hearing from the company for weeks. Having to write off a company you really liked is so sad

If you say something bad about someone applying for a job, that’s wrong. Unless they were blatantly insane or harmful. Let people try to find happiness. Happened to my friend and it’s sad.

I managed to get onsite interviews with apple/Goldman Sachs/amazon when I was a senior in college. Now three years later, I got rejected without interviews for most of tech roles. Sad life 😭

When the senior associate on your project tells you to fill in for him hosting final round interviews in the office and that you won't be able to do any client work tomorrow... so sad 😎

Can't decide if it's best to move to a less stressful job or not. Some days I love it, and am up for early promotion, other days I'm inconsolably sad and can't think of anything but applying elsewhere
