Hi folks. I'm a Senior Account Manager at Microsoft, 10 YOE working with board level stakeholders to onboard workloads. AWS approached me for a Customer Solutions Manager role which is exactly what I do for Microsoft. The hiring manager sent a team member who turned my interview into a technical deep dive. I'm not a Cloud Solutions Architect! Question... Is it normal for AWS to send the tech police to non tech interviews? The guy might as well been a robot.

For people who have been an implementation specialist, what role are you in now? Feel free to add your comp😁 Just getting ideas since I recently left my job as an Account Manager and have been interviewing for an implementation specialist position.

Recruiter from Amazon reached out to me for a Senior Technical Account Manager role. I’m curious if I should entertain the inquiry. I’m not actively looking but I feel like this can be a big opportunity. Current TC is ~245k. Thoughts on Amazon exceeding significantly?

Interviewing at Accenture in two areas next week: Account Manager Creative and Brand Marketing and
Content Experience Manager at Accenture Interactive

The former sounds exactly like what I do now at an ad agency but on the in house agency team with Accenture being the “client”. Lots of execution work. The latter is more about answering RFPs for existing clients and developing some strategy and like 30% execution. I’m leaning toward the CEM role.

My role is like key account manager handling 15+ account in cross sales team. I work in Lending domain. My Salary is still less than 5lpa. What should I do to get more ? I live in Pune and people with MBA with 3 years earn easily 10+ lpa

The interviewer asked me to send in my salary expectation before we talk. This is a little bit challenging to me. Talk numbers.
The position ask for at least 4 years experience. I have 6.
I want to ask for a fair amount because I do think I can bring much value to the company.
Also don’t want to compromise just because I’m out of work at the moment. Do you guys have a suggestion ? TIA!!!

For the last 20 years, I’ve been in project/program manager roles. Most recently, I spent the last 12 years in a learning development role managing the development of sales and technology training. Also, facilitating and partnering with sales on the development of Hunter workshops and sales/Pre-sales new hire training. I’m looking to switch careers to being in sales as an account manager / sales development rep. Advice on how to get interviews in this new dream role?

I’ve been working as an account manager for Pinterest for a bout a year and then moved to a more analyst and strategy optimization role. I have no formal education and worry it will hinder me if and when I try to move to another company. I’m very interested in optimizing strategies and processes. Any advice? SalesForce folks, a recruiter reached out for an opportunity to interview for a AE position in my specialty. I noticed there is also an opp available locally for a Strategic Account Manager in my vertical as well.
Any one know of pay difference between the two, responsibilities/expectations, how they are viewed in the org itself?
I understand they are different but in my job today, I handle both roles so can go in either direction.
Appreciate any input.
