I work at a boutique (currently ~14 bankers and 10 back office roles).

Joined in august. Since august, 3 senior bankers (MD / VP) 1 HR director, and now 2 analysts have left for great opportunities. To be honest I’m happy and like my role, plus it’s too early to think about switching firms already.

I am now the only analyst left, we have another one joining in January. Any advice on how I can leverage this for comp discussions at the end of the year?

I have been offered the consulting analyst position starting at 33.5k + 10k joining bonus, I’m wondering what the salary progression is like. In year 2 can I expect 33.5k with no bonus or will this go up? What about year 3/4 assuming I progress at the average rate? Thanks

Analyst at a real estate PE firm. On the deal side... transitioned into this role from consulting because I am very passionate about real estate HOWEVER, consulting seemed to have a much better career trajectory and oppts than REPE? I can get promoted for 1-2 yrs but feeling like after that not sure what happens next? Any thoughts on what a career trajectory would look like? Thanks.

I have been working as a business analyst at JNJ, with about 4 years of experience and halfway done with my MBA. I would like to move into a project management role (I have worked on my scrum master certification). I make about 68k a year and I feel like I’m due for a huge pay raise. I have been asking 105k-120k which companies have been open to. Am I asking for the appropriate amount?

How much should I expect a Strategy Analyst role at Disney to pay if they require 2+ years of consulting or IB experience?

I’m here being humble, no ego with my ears open. I didn’t have the straight path to success like some people did but I landed an Analyst position at Deloitte. I had some entrepreneurial experiences before Deloitte but nothing successful. I’m here to ask for mentorship or advice from people that have 10M plus net worth. I have a 90k salary and basically 0 net worth. What advice would you give myself to at least make it to 5 M in 5 to 10 years if possible? Thank you 🙏🏽.

Just a year in my first role as data analyst at a big 4 but projects I’m assigned only involve simple research and analysis that any intern can do. Really wanted to use my first job to build more technical skills, but that’s not happening and my manager keeps apologizing for that but apparently there isn’t much they can do. I have an analyst offer from Alvarez & Marsals’s HIG, but it’s ~10k less than an offer from a boutique firm. However, I really loved speaking with everyone from A&M, and it’s a recognized firm that might boost exit ops in the future. I’m kinda torn here- one thing to consider is that I can choose a cheaper city to live with if I accept the A&M offer and might be able to save more than if I take the competing offer. I’d love some advice on this one!

Need to vent. Applied to D for their an analyst role through campus recruitment. Did great on interviews and the managers & partner liked me.
Ended up being rejected for an analyst role due to being overqualified for having 2.5 of PWE as an analyst in a different industry. Recruiter argued back, but losing battle against the top guns. Any advice as far as titles to go for post graduation in June
