I'm a newly promoted audit manager. I'm happy that I got promoted and I'm happy with my new salary/bonus etc. But my concern is that due to the heavy turnover in my firm, I'm stuck on the senior role on some jobs. It's a little frustrating since I know I could take on the manager role for these jobs but staffing is an issue. It's definitely bothering me a little even though I understand why. For those in this situation or have been in this situation, how have you dealt with it?

Left public accounting as an Audit Manager to take a Controller position in private. Realizing I don’t want to get stuck in a Controller position LT and would like to possibly be in FP&A if I stayed in private. Have always had an interest in FDD and I am considering leaving private for FDD. Any thoughts on this potential move & if it would improve my chances of getting into FP&A later on?

My friend just got an offer for an Cybersecurity Internal Audit Manager/VP role at a bank for $140k. Is this a good salary, he has 5 YOE all consulting in big4, lives in HCOL.

What are some things to consider/ask when deciding between an internal audit manager role at a Fortune 500 company vs. a mid-cap. The mid-cap has same salary with 7-15% higher bonus dependent on performance. I’m somewhat stuck on whether the prestige / growth opps At the Fortune 500 are enough to outweigh the comp difference.
