I’m interviewing for this Advising Specialist position at Edward Jones. It’s a remote opportunity that will allow me to stay in the industry in a non-sales format. Does anyone or know anyone that has any experience interviewing and/or working for this positions in the last three years? What type of candidates do they look for? Any tips or any things I should know?
Thank you!
Edward Jones
Currently a collegiate financial rep in the intern program at Northwestern Mutual for the straight path to an advisor role… looking for reassurance that I’m with the right company and that I’m not missing out on any other entrepreneurial opportunities like this (I’m on track to have a BBA in Finance from the University of Miami by May 2024, projected GPA to be 3.5+)
I have been a CA for about 2 years with a great team at Merrill Lynch . Looking to get my feet wet as an advisor but don’t have a network who can reach the $250+ threshold. A recruiter from JP Morgan reached out for a role that is like an entry level FA. All Working remotely. Should I consider interviewing? Any idea on the difference in pay, culture etc between Merrill and JPMC? Thanks!
Any South Florida based firms hiring?

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?
