What’s avg comp for a Senior Associate position at a high growth tech company (think Slack, Stripe, etc.) in their strategy team? Job description says 3-5 YOE required and I have 5. I have a feeling I would have to take a pay cut (which I am okay with) but just want to understand ballpark fig

I recently left T2 consulting for a pre IPO tech firm that’ll go public this year that offered me 135k base + 80k RSUs / year. It’s in a role / function that I’m not too personally passionate about, but I like the culture / WLB and think I can switch teams down the line. However, I also received an offer (about 2 months after starting my new job) with BCG for their senior associate role. It’s going to be a pay cut for sure, but is it worth taking since I’m not passionate about my role rn? TIA!

If I were offered the job, I assume there would be a significant pay increase due to moving from an internal role to a client facing one. About to get promoted at PwC from Associate to Senior Associate (mgmt consulting). I interviewed at Deloitte for a Consultant position, but they’re potentially giving me an offer for BA. I’d essentially be holding out on the promo until next promo cycle. Usually, I’d understand hiring at a level below for higher levels but I feel like doing a 3rd year as a junior might not be the best decision. Should I push HR for Consultant level? I haven’t gotten the official offer letter yet, just verbal.

Hi! I’ve been thinking about two possible paths to making it to a controller one day in financial services.

Path one: stay until manager in big four audit and leave for a lateral position, only have audit exp
Path two: leave as a senior associate and spend two to three years as a senior accountant in private to get familiar with operations and the close process, then jump again for a promotion. Have a mix of audit and operational and accounting exp, but no title

Which path would be better?

What exactly do you put on you resume for your prior experience as a B4 associate/junior staff if you are currently a senior associate? Big law to a PI firm - does anyone have any experience making this move? Has anyone here left big law and come to regret it?

I’ve toyed with the idea of doing PI for years, and I’ve been interviewing with a multi-office, semi-volume-oriented PI firm. But it’s daunting. The initial pay won’t be nearly as much and that my exit options will be more limited once I leave.

That said, I don’t think my exit options as a litigator will be all that great if I go on to be a senior associate at my firm.

Need advice about lateraling from top big law to a reputable litigation boutique as a rising senior associate? Solid position at the current firm but the group is too saturated to secure a promotion in near future. More visibility and potential at the boutique, but obviously it doesn't have the resources or reach of big law. Same pay scale.

I know PWC has an extra level with the new SM role so not sure if I’d be lateraling to SA3 from C at D? It’s a 40% base comp increase but just curious what the outside perception is... currently 3YOE, top right scatterplot. I’m thinking I could make M in a year or so but is that like SC at D??
