Applying for a role at PWC - Senior Associate (Advisory). This is in the CRM space. No masters, 3.5 YOE. Would asking for 130k be too much?
I’m currently at 110k but I’m thinking they won’t ask about what I currently make.

Currently interviewing with a couple startups, one late stage and one emerging. Comp is roughly the same give or take 5%. Early stage is leadership role for a new division, late stage is senior associate. What are some things to consider with evaluating the offers and organizations themselves?

In PwC Assurance, the typical role progression is 3 years to Senior Associate and 3 more years to Manager. And if you're in your promotion year and you lack the necessary skills for that next level, you're "voluntold" to quit... Has anyone here ever reach "Super Senior" status (i.e. 4th year Senior Associate)?

To all new hires that came into KPMG with experience, I wanted to ask how much were you able to negotiate from the initial offer in terms of %? If you were a high performer in the interview that would be helpful as well. Running into a case where the initial offer is lower than market average but it’s on the high side of the salary band for the position. It’s a senior associate position and it’s an engineering role.

I have 9 YOE, got offer from PWC, $99k base salary in columbus, position of senior associate L2. Is it a good offer? Recruiter told me PWC follows some kind of pay structure it is non negotiable. Can anyone advise.

Is exiting to Corporate Strategy very different as an Associate vs as a Senior Associate?

I want do to Corp Strat as my next step after consulting, but not sure if the promo to SA is worth pursuing (takes 3 years to get the promo) or if I should try to exit after 2 years as an Associate

Does anyone know what audit senior associate-acceleration center (virtual/Tampa) is? Is it same thing as regular audit senior associate position?

I’ve been eyeing a local boutique firm (good culture, no travel, fair pay, etc). Senior associate role (~3 years non-tech industry experience). The only “issue” is they focus primarily on the tech / software world, topics that historically haven’t excited me as much as other verticals. 1) Is there still potential there, for the intangibles + overall learning experience? And 2) does working at such a firm silo you into that world moving forward?

Thoughts on applying to school to pursue a second bachelors in comp sci for a career switch into tech (non bizops/strategy role) as a newly promoted Senior Associate (2 YOE) in Consulting with a business degree? Overall goal is to get into Product Management and the second degree would be 2 years in length.

Please convince me I’m not crazy! 👀 not very happy with building slides/models all day and don’t see myself in my manager’s shoes!

How much does the Grant Thornton senior associate position in risk offers? General idea about baseline.

Currently working as a Senior Associate in Corporate Finance for a publishing company. Interviewing for start-ups to join the FP&A team leveraging my current FP&A skills. Made it to final rounds of two well known NYC start up companies. A senior leader (chief revenue officer) of one of our business units has pitched a Chief of Staff role for me where I would help him run the business, manage his direct reports and perform strategic analysis.

Saw an acquaintance go from a year as an analyst at Deloitte to a senior associate at EY for a year, then directly into a FAANG position that requires 5+ years of experience (I was rejected from this due to lack of YOE even though I had more than this person). Other than being extremely salty about this, how does one progress this quickly though companies?!
