Heading into initial interviews with Cap One for a SM level technical role. What’s the normal base / total comp in VA? Didn’t see any relevant job posting on Levels for this type of role
I left consulting as an M and turned down a promo to SM to exit to industry. My biggest strength is leading teams. I’m really good at it and enjoy mentoring junior colleagues. In my current role, I work super cushy hours and have 0 stress. However, I am an individual contributor and don’t feel like a “rockstar” the way I did in consulting. Do I stay and chill (while being mediocre) or go back to the grind/stress but do something I honestly was pretty damn good at. And make more money.
Got emailed to interview for a senior manager of corp strategy at Pegasystems. Does anyone know what the comp range and equity look like for that role and level?
I’ve an interview with Strategy& - private equity team for senior manager role. The first round is a technical interview. Do you know what it entails?
How bad is it to take a role that is leveled down in title but more money? As in- going from Director to Senior Manager but it’s a 20% increase in base pay?
For those who moved from a client serving role to an internal role in public accounting while at a fairly high level (experienced manager or senior manager), did you take a pay cut or does your pay stay flat when you transition with minimal increases in subsequent years? Also what role are you in now? I really like EY and the company. I’d like to look at moving to an internal role but I’m worried I’ve priced myself out (currently at around 140k comp in LCOL).
Starting soon with Amazon as a Non Tech Prod Mgr. I’m now feeling nervous to exit consulting. Ive been in consulting for my entire career, 10 YOE, and up for SM. But at the same time, I know it’s the right move.
What is an associate director in Accenture and how different is the role from a senior manager? Will be helpful to know how does it relates to any similar role in B4. Thanks.
What are exit ops for SM in Deloitte's Analytics practice. Are they going to industry or big tech.
What are levels at accenture? I’m a Deloitte SM and looking at a lead role at accenture?
Independent Consultant interested in fulltime senior manager role. How should I proceed on this?
I’m in the process of making a career transition out of advertising to entertainment. I’m currently at $115k with $10k end of year bonus, $125K total. The entertainment role is only $110k and the title would remain the same (Senior Manager). Should I take the title and still being close to my base salary as a win or should I decline the role due to comp?
Can someone share salary range plus sign on bonus or other things I can expect for senior manager role @ PWC, Atlanta.
Have a friend that’s starting to interview at Amazon for a Senior Manager in Marketing role stationed out of NYC. Anyone have insight into comp? 8 years of experience in brand management.
Can someone please let me know if Director- Connected Commerce title in KPMG is equivalent to Manager or Senior Manager or higher level role?
I am a Manager in Salesforce practice at D and I have 15 YOE and 5 years in Salesforce and at 145k base at D. Is it reasonable to expect a Senior Manager or Director role at pwc or accenture or other top consulting firms with a 30% hike? I took my current role at D at the start of the pandemic and got myself a bad bargain which is why I am looking to move.
Looking at exit ops... anyone know the salary range for a senior manager at an industry association? Online ranges are low confidence and it’s a new industry for me so just looking for a ballpark figure
I'm currently negotiating with PwC, senior manager role, 7 yoe.. What's the typical pay like for this position? How much variable would they usually pay?
Currently working as a PC (SM) with 8YOE in org development/strategy in the US. Looking to return to London soon and wondering where would be hiring and TC expectations (been away for four years). Either looking to stay in org consulting or preferably more strategy (MBB or T2). Don’t have MBA tho. Where would you be looking? Thanks
Exit to Sale Engineering role or stay until M or SM? Currently SC3 at Deloitte. I hear there is no career growth in SE…
Is it a good exit opportunity for B4 audit senior manager to go work for the PCAOB? Benefits sound nice but not sure what the path of progression is over there.
What are the amazon levels for security? SM with 13 YOE. I applied for principal. Recruiter emailed and said the position was filled and asked if I would be interested in a senior consultant role. I don’t care so much about title. More on salary. EU based if it matters.
I’m a Mgmt Consultant in ACN Strategy&consulting w/ 7 yrs experience and have made it to the final interview with both Amgen and Biogen for a Senior Manager position. What base salary is normal / should I be driving for in negotiation?
Pros and cons of taking counter offers? I’ve only heard bad things. Currently making $70k as a senior. Found a new job in industry paying $100k. My manager countered with a position of senior manager at $125k. They also said money was tight before but suddenly it magically appeared with no issue.
3rd year Manager at Accenture, if I'm not promoted in Dec, I'd like to exit. Any SM or above out there able to provide a referral? Primary work in Systems Implementation (SAP, SF, Oracle) projects. Open to most things. Want to start looking into practices and potential opportunities.
Coming from military 20+ years and 4+ years industry. Offered a principal position with infosys. Is this a good level to come in? No previous civilian consulting experience. Moving from a senior manager position in corporate.
Who has the most power when making a hiring decision in a Big 4 consulting super day interview? Is it the SM/Director/Partner? I did well on 3/4 interviews. I wonder if you don’t get the offer by bombing 1/4
Looking for recommendations on how to search for a job and be successfully get it. I have been searching for last 4 months through network but haven’t got any success. Trying to get into senior manager or director level position within industry. Took LinkedIn premium subscription. Any tips on resume writer or who can review it for executive level job search.
Could you share some advice/insights on pros and cons to moving headcount from a regional strategy role to a global capability network role within the same function. How would this impact my comp, career trajectory (MD path), performance (impact of lower chargability), etc? What are some key questions I need to ask? (I’m a SM new to ACN USA) Thanks
What do consulting SM's exit to in industry title wise? Director? Senior Director? VP? Which is most comparable?
150k base 10-20k bonus, would 190 base 20-30k bonus be a good exit or wait for more? Maybe stay until senior manager?
Senior manager in the Workday Consulting space with 7 years experience. Experience is primarily functional Workday HCM with a little bit of program management and also internal leadership roles. Looking to exit consulting in near future. Base is 200k in Texas. Criteria is - more money, less work, not related to Workday, mostly remote. What kind of roles and companies would you be targeting? Sick of both consulting w the internal work + client and talking about Workday. Happy to study up.
Would love some input on interviewing. Have two back-to-back interviews scheduled later this week for a senior manager-type role. I’ve got about 15 years of experience so I’d guess I’d classify myself as mid-career. Am I reading into things too much if the folks I’ll be interviewing with are both like 2-3 years out of undergrad??
Anyone want to refer a boomerang to a Deloitte Org Trans SM role? My first recruiter left and the partner I worked for while previously there has since retired. Historically 1s and 2s when ratings were a thing.
Just got hired for my first senior-level role! What is something you wish you knew your first time as a senior / manager?

Just accepted my offer to return to PwC as a tc intern. Can anyone here share what the time frames look like at each level (SA, M, SM, etc). I understand that its up or out, but what is the typical time you spend in each role for people who are current directors or partners. Thank you in advance!
Interview with Amazon for a Business Analyst position next week. Will have a LiveCode technical round. The requirements - SQL, Excel, Tableau Any Advice?
https://hbr.org/2020/01/what-top-consulting-firms-gets-wrong-about-hiring thoughts? Article mentions case interviews as a poor predictor of performance.
Thoughts on getting credit for success stemming from my work? Former peer, now boss in a new role, leans heavily on me for strategy, comms, planning & analysis - admits to me they can’t do what I do.
I graduated in May 2020 and found myself excepting a Junior Art Director position in Healthcare. I never saw myself in health but with many agencies having hiring freezes I decided to get some experience and save up some money in the meantime. Fast forward one year; I’ve added a new campaign to my website and I’m starting to apply to consumer agencies again. Any tips to help me make the transition? Any place to avoid? Who have you noticed is hiring again? Thanks in advance :)
Anyone willing to say what their base pay is as a license banker at Chase? If so please, tell me also which state you are in and years in the position - thanks!
What salary would MCKinsey give an eh BA? 3 years work ex but still call for an analyst role - would 120k be pushing it? For reference I make 100k at Deloitte at C1
I submitted an app 2 weeks ago, got a referral to McKinsey a week ago...do I still have a chance of being contacted?
Ah, the coveted Verbal Designer role. Not sure what that means, but hey, thought somebody might find it useful.
I am so lost. Feeling stuck in a role I don’t enjoy, yet no idea what I actually want to do. I know I don’t want to keep chasing the next “job.” Help.
This to Burnetters - so what's the role of the global President when the local CEO's don't report to you? When the global president has no say in the matters of any Burnett office in the world?
Recently accepted an offer to be a copywriter intern this summer! 😁 It’s a goal I’ve been working toward for the past two years. Super excited, it’s a small shop with great talent who have worked at some incredible places. Was wondering if anyone had advice on how I can make the most of this experience and hopefully get signed on full time afterwards? Or how I can leverage the internship to find a Jr. role elsewhere?
Strategy and creative: What is strategy’s role during pre-pro and shooting? Anything? How have you found it’s helpful for us to support?
If your team is looking to add another analyst to “take on workload” but your own workload has been minimal, is this writing on the wall for you to find exit ops? I’ve been a good performer, but since Covid started, I’ve had barely any work to do - even including the self starting projects I’ve worked on. This is in industry btw. Thx 🐠
Any scientists/engineers here? (Chemistry BSc/Chem Eng Masters personally) how did you cope with the business/finance lingo at first and dealing with feeling like a bit of an idiot for a while till it starts clicking I’m in this period at the moment... also for hiring would you possibly get looked over initially/are business/finance/econ grads preferred?
Zillow as the exit opportunity? Product Manager role. Yay/Nay? Not considering $$ for now. Just based on culture and future growth prospects?
Why does the third party recruiter I am using perform reference checks, and not HR/hiring manager from the firm I am interviewing with? Curious.
While discussing a possible new role with a mentor. He recommends I expand my specialty and get some functional experience. What does this mean? Or what type of work should I look for?
Moving from consulting to PE. Would you take a VP role at a shop that isn’t the greatest and may only be around for 5 more years? Or would you take a few steps backwards and take a new associate role at a good fund?
Would you only perform a sensitivity analysis in a LBO model? Or could you use it in a DCF model too? And under what kind of circumstances?
Anyone fly frontier for business travel? Looks like the best option as far as times for my new project
Didn't get promoted and the more I think about it, the more upset I become. Had a good year, helped fill in gaps, took on roles to help lead internal initiatives, led/managed teams to success, and worked looonnnggg hours to the point of burnout. Leaders also know how much I was working. I didn't expect a promotion because I had low expectations for my firm, but I'm still pretty bitter. Should I ask why? Was I too naive and ended up giving too much? Or is this a reflection of my work/value?
Hi, all! I’ve been in philanthropy/development space for my entire career w/some community impact/CSR work. Any advice on how to transition from nonprofit to CSR or corporate foundation? I did a post masters certificate in CSR, but I’m having no luck turning that into an opportunity.
Best SPG / Marriott for a Denver weekend trip?
How much can MBB Partners make in a year? What is the differential with a PwC or Deloitte Partner?
Looking for some perspective. I have a 3 year old and we’ve been trying to get pregnant with a second for 2 years (IVF, miscarriages, pandemic during which we lost our nanny and daycare for a while, a long long 2 years). I’ve stayed full time through all of this and I am exhausted to the bone. Cont...

Has anyone ever asked for a market based salary adjustment at work? How did you go about doing it?
How is FTI TAS/FDD comp?
Advise on handling rates negotiations with BIPOC and non-male creators? I always want to accept first bid and get uncomfortable when my bosses push to undercut rates (especially now when money is tight), because there is a whole history of BIPOC and non-male people getting paid less. I’ve tried to push back but struggle to articulate this to them. (For the record, I’m POC female and my bosses are white males, and race/gender convos are already very difficult with them.)
It been over 12 Weeks since I got an RFE for my H1b extension petition and GGS has not filed a response yet. Every time I reach out, they claim that they are still working on it.
Interview with Amazon for a Business Analyst position next week. Will have a LiveCode technical round. The requirements - SQL, Excel, Tableau Any Advice?
