I have an interview w/ McKinsey Risk Business Analyst role… currently staff 2 in tech risk… what does McKinsey like to see from candidates? Anyone currently in that service line?

My EY offer letter for Staff position mentions target variable as only 5%. Is this how much I will receive? What's the average payout? Can someone at Staff level tell me how much they've got in the past?

Anyone can refer me to deal consulting service? Currently staff 2 auditor. Not sure exactly position name in different firms.

Pay the people at your firm WAY above market. Hire NO external seniors or managers. Hire a madly large amount of campus hires with non PA experience (experience in retail, fast food, etc) at above market rate. Have them trained up in small groups by seniors and managers who are happy with their salary. Have the partners in the trenches with staff, seniors, and managers all making sure stuff gets done without killing anyone's mental health. THAT is what a PA firm having trouble hiring should try.

Was eyeing a Summer/Fall 2022 Business Transformation Staff position at EY in particular, but it has dropped off. Any idea of when positions like that will typically open up across most firms? Want to get in early, open to any firm. I do not have an MBA, but I am client facing and work in commercial markets currently. TYIA!

Anyone moved to Systems Evolved Inc (SEI)? I took the interview basically for practice but they made a convincing case, comp was better than expected, and model of only hiring experienced staff is appealing. Glassdoor has great reviews… so what’s wrong with them?

I have a company where I applied to a Senior Accountant role (3-4 weeks ago). I didn't hear back at all. But they just dropped a staff accountant role. I like the company and what they are doing.

Would it be uncouth for me to apply for the staff position too? Or is that a no-no? I feel like the cover letter would write itself - I like you enough to take a title cut. It helps they included the salary, and the staff salary is lateral to my current role.

Hi Fishes, I got a job offer from Nagarro at 24LPA, designation is staff engineer. I feel I should get atleast 28LPA and senior staff engineer role. What do you guus think? How should I negotiate more?
I have 24LPA offer from EPAM anywhere and Nagarro matched that offer I think.

What does someone in a “Chief of Staff” role do in industry vs consulting? Genuinely curious, it seems like an above and beyond role, but I’m not sure I fully understand what those extra responsibilities entail!

Is Chief of Staff a good exit in terms of salary and upward mobility? Where do people usually go after working a few years as a Chief of Staff? TIA

COL adjustment : 14.5k / annum
Joining bonus : 10k

Currently a freelance contractor.

I wanted to know if I made a right choice or not.
I had 2 offers.
1. Nagarro - 27.5 LPA + 1L Joining Bonus
Role: Staff Engineer (Lead)

2. Eli Lilly - 30.2 LPA + 1.5L Joining Bonus
Role: Manager

I chose Nagarro as it is in my home city and there is not much difference in inhand salary as Nagarro salary components is pretty good in saving taxes.
But in terms of work culture and service vs product based companies, did I made a right decision?

Staff and seniors without your CPA, what's the number one reason why you don't have your license and what's the number one thing your firm could offer you to get it?

Especially interested in those at big four where the incentive already includes the cost of study materials, four exam fees, application fee, and a $5000/$3000 bonus if passed in 1 or 2 years from joining.

Bigger bonus (name your price)? Greater position on the team? More PTO? Exam fee forgiveness if you fail an exam? Etc?

Any insight into EY’s IFCS practice? Thinking of applying to their open staff role from another firm, I’d be transferring out of audit.

I am an MBA in Accounting graduate who has had a few AR jobs in my past professional career and in my current role, I do GL postings and reconciliations and ensure everything for my assigned account is entered and posted to the GL. I really want to transition fully into the Accounting world but when I apply for Staff Accountant jobs (in my mind a step above entry-level), I don't get many calls. What am I doing wrong? What should I be applying for with my education and experience?

i think staff aug projects are a good thing if you want to exit to that company. do you agree?

I’m currently on a freelance assignment through the fall with a possibility to extend/convert however I am being actively recruited for full time roles at other agencies. I love the company and team I work with. I have one verbal offer pending right now. Once I get written offer, I plan on giving my current agency a chance to match it but if not then I have to take full-time role. I haven’t had a vacation and need a break. Is one weeks notice fair since I’m not staff?
