Salary ranges for group strategy director role?

Folks who joined Corporate Strategy Director/Principal roles in F500 companies post consulting - what has been your experience? Given how lean these teams are, I believe you are playing an IC role majority of the time. What does the career ladder look like? Also, if you don't end up liking the role, are your exits equally attractive as they were upon leaving consulting? Or do you get boxed into that particular industry?

Fishes, what’s usually the career path ahead for consultants who join pre-IPO startups in Strategy Director / Associate Director positions? Is a business owner role the next natural step?

I’m lucky to have a few career options right now (11 YOE in B4 consulting);
1. Corp strategy Director role in a large O&G firm
2. Corp strategy Director role at one of the FAANGs
3. Stay where I am and make P in ~2 years

Which is better for longer term comp prospects?

Any advice on those of us trying to push into a strategy director role? Currently a senior strategist with plenty of experience, but every time I try and step into a director role (on smaller accounts/when the director level is short staffed) my anxiety hits 100 and impacts my performance. It’s starting to get to me, and I wonder if anyone has been in this position before... thanks in advance!

Is it fair that at the same agency one person can go straight to strategy director but others have to be ASDs? I had usually heard you either had that ASD role or not but not doing it case by case.

What does a good CV *look* like in 2020? Im at strategy director level with lengthy experience in two continents at a top 5 agency and some solid award winning famous work to speak to. And barely getting any replies. And a bunch of rejections to client side applications. Not even an interview. I know there’s hiring freezes everywhere, but this is demoralising as fuck.
