Need help in evaluating offer I just received from a late stage, NYC-based startup. Position is VP, Head of Information Security and is fully remote. They’re offering $290K base with $750k worth of equity to vest over 4 years ($187k annually). Never really looked at equity compensation in detail but they’re modeling their own valuation off a similar acquisition ($3.3B). Is this in line with NY market? What other questions should I ask when I speak to the recruiter next week regarding this

considering a VP role focused on analytics at a smaller consulting company (about 1k employees). thoughts on $260k base as low / high? span is ~20 people on team.

Can I work for a publicly traded company and sit on the board of another? One is a home builder and other is mortgage lender. I’m super excited about the opportunity to sit on a board/audit committee but I’m looking to accept a VP of Finance role as well.

I have an offer to join Deloitte Advisory in an Associate VP role in product development in

Had interview at large fortune 10 company for a strategy and BD role. Had 3 interviews last Monday then the final round with the group VP on Friday. I followed up with hiring manager on following Monday and she told me she would speak to VP and get back to me EOW. Never got back to me. Bad sign?

Landed a final interview at a mid-size agency for a senior digital role. Interview is with both the CEO & VP of Digital. Any tips for success? What types of questions might they ask me?

Title question: because of Covid and changes at my agency, I am now leading both the Account Management and Project Management teams. What is an appropriate title/role for me to ask for that encompasses all of this? Is Director of Client Services more accurate? any other suggestions? Note it’s a smaller agency and we don’t have any VP titles.

Looking for feedback: In a leadership position with responsibility to direct sales strategies and enablement for a product category. My issue is that my new boss, who micromanages my every move, gave me a slap on the wrist for “breaking chain of command” to speak with my VP. Someone I already have a relationship/rapport with trying to get honest feedback on an initiative. Any suggestions on handling corporate politics with my boss? I’m interviewing for an in-house PR role (mostly content/media relations) at a digital company. I’ve had 3 interviews so far and completed one extensive writing assessment (800-word article). I’m pretty sure I have the job, and had a great interview with VP of Corp. Comms. today. She mentioned she had no hesitations about my qualifications. But the HR mgr said they now want me to do a 2nd assessment “just to dot their i’s” and they want a 750-word release by Monday. Is this normal?

SC at ~ 180K TC. I recently got an offer from my current client for a VP role (they had pitched other roles and I declined due to the comp difference not being high enough). They came back a few months later with a 450K TC VP offer that really surprised me... While this seems like an obvious move, the client is really shitty and fairly small (~1B in rev). Am I crazy for thinking of turning this down? My GF and I combined make about 400K so it’s incrementally not that much to us.
