Anyone know what Equifax’s 401k and benefits look like? Curious to see if it’s competitive. Also know if they’re salary is competitive. Looking at a VP fraud operations and monitoring position.

What do PE shops start VP’s at post MBA? Is the VP role the same as someone who maybe went straight through? For example.. if I’m a consultant with no investing experience and I land a summer VP and full time ultimately at Bain Cap... am I viewed the same as the kid who did 2-3 associate years first and is coming back?

I understand this bowl is for Exit Opportunities but I’ve been seeing great career advice in general ... In March I interviewed for a VP level role with a well known global agency, I met the entire executive suite virtually . I haven’t heard anything since then, on LinkedIn I see they have posted the role public...is this a clear sign that they are not interested in me as a contender? It’s not worth following up, right?

Curious for other 🐠 opinions. I have a friend looking to move firms and he is a Global Director overseeing international teams. But his company’s titles are more like banking, where the levels are: analyst<Manager<VP<SVP<Director<SD<MD<C-level. How would he convey that on his resume if he is looking at a role in a more traditional company? So if he was to move up for the next job it would a SVP.

Have an interview with a VP. Considering this is a third round should I expect a case interview? There was no mention of it. This is for a strategy role.

Having my final interview for a data scientist position soon. The job (other than coding) is to help them build their DS team. The interviewers will be the head of research and a VP, and the interview will be a “competency test”. How do I make myself sound more mature? Or any other tips? I’m ambitious and have a lot of ideas but I only have 2 YOE. Really want this job!!

Can anyone provide advice on negotiating with JPMC? I’m confused by the lack of transparency into bonus structure and I keep getting stiff armed by the recruiter. This feels like a red flag, I get no answers when I ask what my individual incentive level would be...is this normal? Should I push back before signing? VP level role in technology

Temp check, please. What should I be looking for as earnings package (base + bonus + equity/benefits) for a VP level role (it’s a hybrid Marketing/strategy Head of marketing-type role)?

Hi. Need some advice please on an AlixPartners offer. My background is:
- SM at EY (been at this level for nearly 1 year)
- Just under 4-5 years' consulting experience + 5 years' industry
- Offered top-end VP position.

Pay is excellent compared to Big 4 but having doubts about the VP level given some of the comments on here. I would have liked SVP ideally. Should I be aiming higher? All opinions greatly appreciated.

Nailed all the interviews including great feedback from hiring VP on the final round who said I should expect to hear on next steps shortly. Later found out another candidate is being offered the role. Should I connect with the VP and let them know I was looking forward to working with them and maybe keep me in mind for future roles.

Who else is tired of people who post on here with vague AF titles that don’t give any indication of job role or department?

Senior Manager, Senior Vice President, Vice President, Manager, I’m looking at you. These are levels of seniority, not job titles.

And they always seem to be the most opinionated.

I met a VP at a consulting firm that I interned at a couple years ago. Kept in touch and he offered me a job post grad that I didn’t take. Would it be awkward to reach out to him now (2 years later) and see if his team is hiring?

If I get a Director level exit at age 32, is it realistic to expect a F500 VP role by age 45?

In running for VP position at a large German firm with international presence. Comp guides seem awfully low for scope of the role: base of 200k Euros base and 50% individual bonus and possibility of adding another 50% annual retention bonus kicking in in year 3. They will throw in car benefits and education fees for 2 kids on top. How does this compare to typical VP positions in Europe? Does this sound about right? What do associate partners and partners at MBB make in Germany?

Leaving while in MD pipeline for a VP Role? Smaller client, but executive role at a public ally traded company, but in an industry I wouldn’t want long-term. Not planning on being in consulting for life, but have looked at SMs who left our firm and seems like those who leave at MD go much further in careers (realize some is talent aspect).

I am being heavily recruited to work for a BPO as a VP for their global consulting practice. This opp sounds to good to be true. She literally wrote the role just for me based off of my resume.

Am I missing something?

Better pay, great mgmt. global presence. Is it considered going into industry? Would it be a step back career wise (company reputation) I guess I’m waiting for the shoe to drop.

What are good questions to ask an interviewer for a VP role?

I have an interview for a VP level consulting role and wanted some ideas on questions to ask the Interviewers. I am interviewing with the CSuite so won’t be a hiring manager or anything.

My first is with the VP of HR, then the COO then the CTO, CIO, etc... I have 7 interviews and don’t want to ask everyone of them the same questions.

Any ideas?
