Hi, I'm applying to Oliver Wyman after spending 4 years in operations at Amazon (prior background is big4 consulting and top MBA). Can anyone who has gone through their experienced hire process speak to the cases portion for EM/principal? Is it a typical MBB case interview or more of a conversation?
Background: don't have the time to sink in 50 hours of traditional MBB case prep like you would as an MBA sharpening up for cases. I'm hearing conflicting things on how exp hires are evaluated

Is it typical for Recruiting at MBB to be a shitshow? Recently concluded a months-long interview process with BCG Platinion that left a bad taste in my mouth. Constantly having to follow up with the recruiter, lack of transparency in regards to role or level, contradictory feedback, and a rushed case interview. Also received a rejection notification AND an email stating the second interviewer was going to reach out to me to reschedule. Boston Consulting Group
PA Consulting folks and those who’ve interviewed with them - what do the case study and written exercise entail? Suppose the former is not as hardcore as an MBB/sizing case interview? Also, any chance I can get them to offer me Principal position rather than Consultant with 4 YOE in Consulting +1.5 industry?
Hi all! I have interviews at BCG coming soon and I need to get up to speed on case interview preparation. I’ve never had MBB case interviews before and I’ve just started my preparation on crafting cases. I’m hearing quite a lot that it is important to practice with other people to have an optimal preparation and was wondering how true it was? I have nobody to practice with at the moment and I honestly don’t realise how crucial it is… any thoughts ?Boston Consulting Group

McKinsey & Company Career advice needed. Thanks in advance. What would be a potential feasible path to make the transition from Big Four assurance role to MBB consulting role? I have 1 year experience in industry as FP&A and couple months as fund accountant before I graduated from school and went to Big four as IT auditor and could switch to core auditor ,cybersecurity or ECG advisory etc. I’ll get the CPA and CFA soon and have some basic coding skillsets. Considering to do MBA/graduate degree if necessary. McKinsey & Company PwC Deloitte
