Given the zeal and propensity for random salary comparisons on here, here is another one: what was your allowance at age 9, and how have did it compare to expectations and peers?
Anyone have experience leaving NYC for a ‘3rd tier’ market (v small city). I’m debating a move —it would mean a 50% salary cut but hopefully a better balance and a happier me! Thoughts?
I have five years big 4. Always did well bonus and promotion wise. In between I left for IT sales to make more money but being in Boston I would of had to move for better opportunities. Now I’m back in consulting and miss the freedom of sales. Anyone in my position? I felt this way before quarantine too. The SM on my project almost got divorced so she worked so much, then she said I realized it just my life. It’s just too unhealthy. Thoughts bowlers?
If you agreed to a sign on bonus with a 2 year vesting period, pro rated at year 1, will a firm generally chase you for 50% of the sign on bonus? Assume leaving was voluntary and on good terms.
Turned 26. Which also means it's been 4 years since I finished undergrad. Buddy just finished dental school over that 4 years. Starting salary 180k. 9-5. I picked the wrong career.
Anyone know the PE Ops comp for a VP role (mid-tier)? Approx base + bonus? Is 300k base reasonable?
Mid level AD in NY. Just started freelancing. I'd like to make about $70/hour. Do I ask for $80? If they ask my day rate, does that calculate to $700/day? Does day rate = 8 hours? Or could it be 12?
Fishies, any good immigration lawyers for H-1B holders (transitioning to green cards) you know of? Extra bonus question, can you travel outside the US on H-1B while I-140 and I-485 are pending?

How much cash do you have set aside for emergencies and how many months of essential/required expenses does it represent for you? I have 36,000 saved which would be 6 months for me and wondering if that’s average or too much.
How important is it to get your CPA in the long run/ outside of big 4? Would CFE be beneficial? I’m a forensics staff.
Colleague brings in homemade ice cream for the team. Dark chocolate with Biscoff biscuits and cookie butter. Is it weird it made me homesick for delta airlines?
I'm considering a jump to a FAANG HR Business Partner position. Hoping to get advice from the fishes. My real passion is corporate strategy, but I've done a ton of work with HR over the years, and a good amount of client coaching and training. Would this hurt my chances of going back to corporate strategy later? Is it worth the risk to get into a FAANG?

Ladies, any experiences/tips when dealing with your VP boss who is sort of passive aggressive/beta when you are a blunt/direct/alpha female? I recognize it’s a weird situation... let’s say that my boss is very easily offended by my direct emails/chats where my tone cannot be heard - and when I forwarded these emails to other VPs (same level as him) for an outside opinion, they all confirmed verbatim that I’m not aggressive but rather my boss is passive aggressive/a pussyfoot. I’ve been (cont)
Anyone heard of YipitData? Thinking of applying there. Curious about their product, culture, and comp. Glassdoor seems suspicious
Has anyone dealt with this before: My GC furloughed me with HR over zoom in early July stating it was due to Covid (I work in live events so understandable). He never checked in on me once through the past few months then recently has texted me multiple times asking how I’m doing and that he’s going to call me. Usually at weird times of the night. I always respond the next morning being ultra professional and saying I’m fine and hoping he is well. I also give him a time frame in which I am ....

What do you think about using design sprints for every feature of your product? I have recently collaborated with a team of designers that is using DS for every little feature and we argued about the utility of using this (time consuming and costly) process. Their arguments are that it makes us look more as professionals if we do that, it aligns the team on the same output and it is easier for them to focus just on process. What do you think?
What do firms like doordash and Uber pay their strategy and operations associates? Glassdoor seems incorrect
