I’ve got a standing desk and looking for some recommendations for a desk treadmill. Anyone have first hand experience with some reliable and quiet brands?

Litigators who work from home and have standing desks. Question from a second year starting at a new firm. The new firm is wfh/hybrid if I chose. My old firm was all in-office. I'm getting a standing desk obviously. My question is: how paper heavy is the life of a wfh litigator? This will decide how big of a standing desk I need. Is 48"×30" enough desk surface space? Or should I get a credenza too for some more paper storage space? I'm new to this so any advice/tips would be helpful.

How do I get rid of this neck/under shoulder blade muscle knot pain? Its been here for over 2 years and standing desk doesn't help but getting off the computer for the weekend does (for a lil bit, then comes back). Do I need to leave the computer industry?

A standing desk in my home office has done wonders for my attention and therefore my productivity. Something about being on my feet keeps me focused. Anyone else share this sentiment? I’d look into this if people are interested.

Question for those that work for larger multi office companies. Are the operations the same or at least similar from office to office? For instance, if your home office is In California but they ask you to help out on a Florida assignment, can you expect the operation to be similar with what your roles are and both administration and professional responsibilities? And do the offices all use the same software? I’ve been assisting another office and it’s extremely frustrating.

Best office chair for under $300?

Partner and I are mid 20s living on ~$220K TC at the moment. We are paying $1800/mo (each) for the mortgage on our 3bd 1.5ba home. Mortgage is affordable for both of us and we each use an extra bedroom as our home office (wfh). Am I missing an opportunity by not renting out one of the beds and putting it all back into the mortgage?

Have new analyst on the team with an MBA and project experience. After working with them for 2 months it’s apparent that there are 0 consulting skills (excel, outlook, PowerPoint) and they freeze up even on internal calls. They are young and coachable, and I offered to put time into that. However at a company event they made no effort to get to know the team and chose to stick to their familiar colleagues in their home office. I’d like to ask for a new resource but interested in feedback.

Advice requested! I have hit a point where continuing to work remote is negatively effecting my mental health and need to be around other people (at least a bit more ;) ). My office is over 1.5 hours away which makes it a costly option. Working from a cafe is perfect for me but I’m often on long meetings and fear my constant phone calls will frustrate fellow patrons.
