I have a query, my bgv dashboard says my report is sent to my recruiting HR.

I had a zoom call with my recruiting HR, she said it is looking green or alright. I asked this 2 times and the response was good. Now my joining is on 31st October.

Still unclear about the status. Can anyone clear this up for me?

Ok am I just being a baby or is this a legit reason to be annoyed? I just started a new job at a pretty small agency. Uprooted my whole life to move here. Everyone was very welcoming via email but nobody has given me a welcome lunch or happy hour. I ask people via slack if they want to do lunch and they say oh next time but then never can. I just feel kinda left out and like nobody cares. Or is this not that big of a deal? Idk I’m not high maintenance but I feel simple lunch wouldn’t hurt…

If I get another Slack or Teams message that says “I know you’re busy but…” I am gonna lose it. If you know I am busy go ask someone else or email me and I will get to it when I am not as busy. The apology doesn’t make you any less rude or disruptive it actually just tells me that you just don’t have any respect for my time. This is the cause of burnout…

Does anyone else feel like their brain operates entirely differently than the rest of your colleagues. My psychiatrist pointed out that my brain is wired more for “get the fuck to the point” which is what makes my brain easily shut off when I realize a sentence isn’t a part of the main point.

I feel like Kevin O’Leary on shark tank, just cut to the chase man. Stop spending 3 paragraphs on something that needs 1 sentence during zoom meetings

Just realized I hadn’t had an in-person interview since 2019. I’ve done multiple zoom interviews and was onboarded remote in 2020. About to see a real person today! Wish me luck.

At what point do you tell a company you're interviewing with to stop wasting your time? Already had phone screen, zoom interview #1, assessment, and have zoom interview #2 scheduled for Friday afternoon. HR just reached out to schedule zoom interview #3 tomorrow and #4 Friday morning. I think if they ask for a 5th, I'm dropping.

Yay for globalization! Without technology, I'm assuming overseas business was extremely hard, if not impossible in some cases. With technology and Zoom, we can conduct this same business in a matter of hours.

Recently countered an offer last week, I didn’t receive a reply. Today, the recruiter contacted me to set up a zoom call with a few senior executives, for next week a they clarified it wasn’t an interview but so I may ask questions regarding my concerns. Is it odd I haven’t received a response to my counter?

Pet peeves: I'm now officially not responding to any Teams/Slack messages with anyone who only ask how I am/"happy <insert day>" and waiting for my response without also getting to what they want. Just get to the ask. The exception is the coworkers who I actually know ask randomly without needing anything. 🙃

Moving from a place where average mbps speed is around 100, how much lower can you get to have seemless wfh experience (eg showing excel over zoom whilst sending an email & watching netflix in the background)?

Why the heck do Recruiters and Hiring managers do such a poor job keeping applicants informed to the status. I had my time wasted with an opportunity for a fortune 100 position for 3 1/2 months. Phone Screens, Zoom Interview with hiring manager, Face to face with hiring manager. (Then asked for professional references) , impromptu Zoom meet with other leader who was completely disengaged. Then boom... six weeks of silence vague texts from hiring manager they were still going thru the process..
