Does anyone know if Perkins Coie, K&L, or Faegre Drinker have matched market salaries yet?
Cooley, Perkins Coie, or Orrick?
Anyone know what partner comp formula and trajectory looks like for firms with sizable ECVC practices? Gunderson, Cooley, WSGR, Goodwin, Orrick, Perkins Coie, Silicon Legal, Fenwick, DLA, Latham, etc…
Anyone have Big Law experience in Seattle? Any firms to rave about or shy away from? Looking at Perkins Coie, Wilson Sonsini and Cooley in particular. Is it better than NYC or more of the same?
Thoughts on Perkins Coie?
Perkins Coie associates: what is your securities trading policy like? Standard restricted list with clearing or simply “don’t insider trade”? Any restrictions on options?
Any input on the M&A group and hiring process at Perkins Coie? I’m a 3rd yr specifically interested in their Denver office. TIA!
Any insight into Perkins Coie NY? I’ve heard good things about the culture of the Seattle office. Does anyone know whether this extends to the NY office?
Anyone have experience with screeners at Perkins Coie? It's been a few weeks since my screener, and I'm wondering if I'm being ghosted or if that's a normal timeline for them.
Perkins Coie. Why does NALP list 2 different first year salaries for some offices? Do they have a high and low billable hour option? I'd be exploring as a lateral but I'm curious.
Any office or practice group specific (or, preferably both) insights re: Perkins Coie - specifically, general corporate, M&…
Any insight on lateral screening interviews? Junior associate scheduled with Perkins Coie. Thanks!

Was unsuccessful recruiting for top consulting firms during my MBA. I need that money! What is the best approach to landing an interview post MBA? Referral?
Best office chair?! I’m WFH until at least Jan 22 and I need to upgrade my desk chair. Suggestions? I know the Herman Miller is awesome but would love to spend less than $1k. Around $400ish
Any leads on fed firms in ATL hiring? Friend is getting out of the Army as an O-3 next month, he's spent the past 10 years in IT and is cleared. Thanks!
I want to start seeing a therapist because of COVID/work/life in general stress, but most therapists around my area are only available during “normal” business hours. What would be the best way to carve out this time, since I don’t really want to tell me leads exactly what I am doing, but also need to take care of my mental health.
I worked at a large insurance defense firm for 4 years out of law school. I really enjoyed the work itself, but the hour expectations kept increasing and I was getting burnt out. I decided to try a new type of law and have been at the new firm 3 months. I have way less responsibilities and none of my own cases. I’m worried this was a wrong move/too far of a step backwards. I know I don’t see myself here long term, but I’m not sure how long I need to stay to avoid looking like a job hopper—help!
Probably going to get lit up for this for being out of touch, but looking for perspective on comp. Just turned 27 and 5 YOE. Left a T2 several months ago making more money for a series A startup with base salary of $130k and options worth another $20k per year. Obviously knew leaving for a startup would likely mean lower comp than other exits, but now starting to feel like maybe I’m falling behind or set myself back. Thoughts?
I am currently going through a green card process with my company and they are asking me to sign an agreement, where my notice period is increased to 6 months and if I leave within 3 years, I have to repay the costs associated with my application. (Max 7k). Is this a standard practice?
Given the option of (A) running a small-mid size recruiting dept in a smaller agency, or (B) recruiting client-side / in-house marketing department — which would be preferred, and why?
I have a boss that always canceled meetings with me including performance reviews. I’ve been trying to get on his calendar to let him know I’m leaving but just getting more of the same. All of my work is in good shape but needs senior eyes and not left for junior folks to handle. Some of them are high profile and client-facing. How do I close this chapter without burning bridges?
Questions for past/ current Accenture or Big 4 folks. I noticed in some threads that SC level only applies to Strategy consulting (at Accenture- not sure about big 4). Could Product Manager be SC level if I have my MBA or is it not even considered a Strategy role? And do they only consider you an “MBA hire” if it’s from a top tier school? Lastly, I’ve seen quite a big salty range for MBA hires. Anyone care to share the latest? TIA.
I live in Cali and I have just been made a CS team lead. I'd like to renegotiate my salary in the future and I've read Team Leads make on average $26/h... But can make up to 36. Is that true? Ty!
Any suggestions on science or social studies curriculum to use in a self-contained (setting 4) EBD classroom?
Any insight on getting MBA from mendoza as far as prospects for transitioning into a post-mba strategy consulting role? It’s ranked outside the top 15 but from research seems like it still sends plenty of grads to top consulting firms (not MBB)
Folks, I just got promoted and joined this group. How should I approach selling consulting services? I am delivering services and not had much success farming given the client environment. How can I start hunting? Any steps or tried-out resources I can leverage? Help out a fella trying to do his job better 🙏
Big law firms with the best and worst cultures? Let’s make a list. (Saw this in the comments on another post, but think it could use a broader audience).
For those of you who got covid after hearing someone around you was exposed - were you more keen to pay attention for symptoms and if so, what were some early signs you were going to be sick too? I was exposed over the weekend and can’t stop questioning every little thing. I realize as each day passes, the likelihood of being sick decreases but I’m still paranoid as so many people I know have gotten sick over this past month
I think my daughter has selective mutism. Any other parents here with a child with selective mutism have any recommendations on how I start this journey (books to read, tactical strategies, etc)

If you are happy in NYC and your parents and sibling are in the same city so you can see them a few times a month. How much does a new job in San Francisco needs to pay you for you to move?
I’ve been laid off for 6 months+ looking for senior account management roles in NYC. My background is in digital content strategy, performance marketing, and ecommerce.

Help! I'm losing my voice. Any quick remedies to help get it back? I can talk in a normal tone, but cannot raise it at all.
Any suggestions for good pre-MBA programs/coursework to do? I know I have at least 3/4 years before applying but my employer offers tuition reimbursement and wanted to get a head start looking at options! I went to a public Ivy (top 30ish) but my college GPA was a 3.2 in liberal arts (worked part-time most of college & some outside health issues didn’t help with that), so I’d like to prove I’m capable to admissions outside of a high GMAT.
3.5 years ago I was given a promotion without a raise. A year and a half later they gave me a raise but it did not put me in the range I should be in for for my level, years of experience and quality of work. How should I approach the subject of another raise with my manager in the New Year? Being so underpaid is really starting to weigh on me. I love where I work so I don’t want to leave. But, I’m also having a baby soon so finances are very top of mind right now.
Does anyone know what in-house life is like at Dell? I'm interviewing for a senior counsel role there. From what I gather, the salary and perks are not as good as other tech companies.
Almost got hit by a car crossing a street because I was too busy chortling at a FB post 😐😐😐 instead of paying attention. Lesson learned.
Advice please : had one interview yesterday and recruiter said latest by Friday she will provide an update. In the meantime another interview from diff firm came up (contd)
Generalist strategy consultants (esp those at MBB or T2), how hard was PERM for you? I know someone failed PERM because company did recruit someone (US citizen) with same title (entry level generalist software developer) and does same work, during the PERM period. I imagine that’s an issue for consulting generalists as well given companies recruit tons of Americans as strategy consulting generalists as well, right?
Duke MBA to MBB - how likely?
Waiting on that call from the partner to find out what my % raise and bonus will be. Those #'s will decide this upcoming years performance. Anyone agree?
I have an upcoming interview with on of the FAANG companies that was previously a client of mine. Is it ok to speak to the recruiter/interviewer about the details of the project I worked on. Or is that frowned upon and I should anonymize the project details?
