I have a requirement to insert a row in database only if it meets following requirements
Ex: there is a column "points", a new record should be inserted only if points in the new record is greater than highest points already inserted in db or else throw that points are less

How i should approach this if i get lot of requests (say 10k) all a time. How can I achieve consistency and handle with less response time

I’m currently working on coding workshops that would allow me to be a developer by the end of it. I also have the opportunity to attend graduate school free of cost. I have a B.A. in Psyc. but would it be possible to do a computer science masters even though my background is in psyc? If so, what do I need to know to prepare?

Can someone suggest a decent printer? I have an HP inkjet.

Need one with high res option, double sided, with multi paper scanning.

I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. But, unfortunately, I am now getting withdrawals, because my body is used to the daily adrenaline of throwing myself into work. It’s this terrible feeling of like anguish/unease in my gut, but I don’t have anything I’m worried about- it’s like my body wants to find something to worry about.

Hello Fishes,

I am in discussion with Target India for the position of Sr. Engineer(Level 5), I already hold a couple of offers, the highest being 24.3 LPA (with 5% variable) from Publicis Sapient.

What numbers should I ask/expect from Target? Do they have any standard pay w.r.t. position or will it be based on the current CTC/offer in hand?

Y.O.E - 4

Anyone at BlackRock could advise me : I recently received an offer from them and background check is 75% done as per the recruiter and I can hand in my notice to the current employer. Do you recommend I should do it now or wait for background check to complete successfully? I have not done this before, so any guidance much appreciated. TIA! BlackRock

A couple of weeks ago I filed a default package, asking for 60k. Mind you, to get to this point, complaint was never answered, statement of damages was served, heard nothing, request for entry of default filed and served, heard nothing. But now, out of the blue, my firm gets a call from defendant’s attorney, asking us to stip to put aside default. Thoughts on how to proceed.... do I agree to stip? Or do I tell them to shove it just like they did to my clients complaint?

I have a question about attorney referrals. I work at a small firm. A case was referred to the managing partner, who is not actively working, by a third party. A second partner handled the matter. During the course of the case, the second partner came in contact with the original client’s unofficial caretaker/friend. He enlisted the help of the friend to placate the client. On several occasions, he escorted the friend to/from the client’s home while preparing for different phases of discovery.
