Armanino - RAAS Construction team, anyone knows about the firm; culture; pay compared to B4?
Is Armanino a decent firm?
Anyone had experience with moving from Big4 to a smaller firm (Crowe, Sikich, Armanino, etc.)?
Anyone here from Armanino?

First day in industry and go to look at my time sheet.... What? There’s only one code I need to put my time to if I’m working? I can submit it weekly? And I don’t need to give at least 2 weeks advance for PTO when I’m requesting it? Oh me oh my why did I not make this move sooner!
Just got told by managers that my performance hasn't met their expectations. High performer last year. Am I getting fired?
Do any of you write self reviews ? I have a very strong review and im a senior promoting to senior 3. Don't see the point of writing one. What're your thoughts?
I graduated with my bachelor's in HRM and I'm wondering if there are any certifications or trainings I could do before I lock down on the SHRM-CP. I recently became HIPAA certified for my company and that got me thinking about what else I could do to add to my resume. Looking for good stepping stone certificates.
Tips on giving feedback to an intern whose English language/comprehension skils aren't meeting expectations? She doesn't understand instructions and I have to constantly repeat myself
How do you reimburse a mouse?
Does your firm reimburse mileage related to driving into the office to work overtime on a weekend? EY does, how about the other firms?
Those of you who have had their companies go from a certain number of days PTO to unlimited PTO, did you actually take more days off after the change or were you pressured to take less? Company and service line would be helpful but not necessary
EY Tech risk vs PwC DAT? which is better?
I want to move (and plan to fairly soon) a few states away from the current office I am in now. I have only been with my firm for a year. Where I am moving to also has an office close to where I’ll be buying a home. How would one navigate negotiating a transfer when you haven’t been at the company very long.
Anyone in the finance/banking industry, what’s the most obscure or bizarre type of derivative you’ve come across?
When traveling for work what do y’all do about all the W-2’s? I’m getting back like $40 each in 3 different states and on freetaxusa it costs $13 each per state return. Advice?
Decided I need to leave firm for family reasons and starting search. 10* experience tax. Flex not an option in this situation. Looking for options other than same size or smaller pa any suggestions?
What would you do if you got assigned to a team with someone you were engaged to 6 years ago and haven’t spoken to since? Both managers.
I hate my senior
MBB, if you accept an offer out of Business School, will they pay for your 2nd year? I know Deloitte does.
Just found out I’ll be promoted to a new role with way more responsibilities next month. This is my first big “promotion” and I’ll have a few people reporting into me. Fear aside, I just realized
Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls
Evaluating an offer in Canada with Avanade base pay - 160k CAD, 6% annual bonus, 10k CAD sign on , location - Toronto. YoE - 11 years, already have a Canadian PR. Currently in the US employed with EY at 150k USD base, but on a H1B visa, GC EB3 PD 2019. Worth it? Avanade folks?
What expense have you gotten away with

I had a recruiter from EY contact me for a Manager role. What’s the culture like at EY? How’s the WLB? Would you recommend working there or should I run? 😅
Hi I m looking for job. I have bpo experience telecommunications, health care, banking please refer me
Trying to decide between two portfolio ops roles, both in the Bay Area: Small-ish VC firm, ~135k base + 35k bonus Medium PE firm, ~115k base + 115k bonus Which would you choose? I’m leaning towards the PE firm bc it’s more hands-on, faster learning curve, and higher TC, but the VC role seems to have a better WLB and generally sounds cooler (getting exposed to VC vs continuing in the corporate world). What do you think?
Anyone willing to help with a Simon-Kucher & Partners referral? I’m currently an Accenture strategy consultant looking to make the move Simon-Kucher & Partners
Have an offer that pays ~$350-450k a year, but is very bonus heavy and about 25% of that or more will be restricted stock and options. Making ~$350k now all cash. And the way it’s structured, in the first year I’ll end up being ~$50k short for the year of where I would be if I stayed. Also requires a big move to a location I’m not too keen on. WLB is better, probably 50 hours a week but need to be plugged in 100% of the time. Any considerations I haven’t really thought about? What should I ask?
Does anyone here hold a non-CFA designation (CFP, CAIA, FRM etc.) and what kind of role/position do you have?
What is the tipping etiquette on the free platinum breakfast in a JW Marriott? The server just gets coffee / orange juice and you serve yourself. It is an overpriced buffet that I would never dine in.
Does anyone know of where to find remote part time work opportunities for older Indian women? My mom was a part-time after school teacher but has not been doing that due to covid (dad is high risk). I’m having her do some online typing lessons to get her to be a faster typer, maybe find her a data entry gig. She does not want to do nanny’ing / babysitting. She’s a great teacher though and she’s trilingual (Telugu, hindi) - anyone know of where to find opportunities?
Qq - I recently noticed that I am missing an old (not current) i-797 approval notice. I have the scanned (soft) copy but not the original notice. Do we need older notices for any future filings (e.g. green card, AOS filing, naturalization etc.)? Wondering if I should order a copy or not needed.
