Any ideas about the type of “healthcare” roles in Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart? FYI - background is strategy consulting in health.
Anyone have insights on working at Best Buy Health? Got a recruiter ping and am interested... TIA!
Thoughts on Best Buy short term? 3 months out.
Is Best Buy a good buy right now?
I want to live with my parents again. Been here for 3 weeks and I’ve spent like $150. If I’d gotten a job at Best Buy instead of moving to 3 different cities and paying $5M in rent for a micro apt

Rookie question here: Looking to get an Oculus Quest, is there any difference in buying it from the website directly vs third party like amazon, Best Buy, game stop, etc?
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
How do I get these car warranty calls to stop? Change my number I've had for 20 years??? What has worked for you? I've added myself to Do Not Call, etc.

Advice on taking and passing the SPHR exam?
Has anyone taken the PHR exam lately? What was the best test prep IYO? Online on demand , online live classes? Are the practice exams worth the cost?
For those of you who spent the time and money to get the PHR or SHRM certifications, do you feel that it actually strengthened your professional capabilities as on HR professional, or did you just do it to fit into the “HR Professional” crowd?
Would you ask for a higher pay at a startup, due to the company not having a pension scheme for its employees?
Ladies & Gentlemen, with one month left in Q2, some will fall short of our numbers. Others will hit them. I can’t speak for all of us here, however, I can speak for myself. That being said, I will NOT be one that comes up short of my number. Now, this leads me to you all, to present a question. If you have to prospect, if you’re looking for new business, is it worth $1500 to put 95% of your prospecting process on autopilot? If so, let’s chat.
Hoping to get my PHR in the next year or so. Outside of employer reimbursement, are there other opportunities for this to get funded? I know SHRM Foundation offers scholarships for the CP, but I am looking for PHR specific help. Thank you! :)
Has anyone seen or discussed this Petition for SHRM must support Black Lives Matter & the LGBTQ community? I’ve grown increasingly concerned and disappointed in SHRM’s lack of vocal support for employment protections for LGBTQ+ and black and brown workers, especially as a black woman in HR. It seems like SHRM is overly focused on what is absolutely “legal” and not what is right. I’m of the opinion HR professionals must not only be “legal” but have a relevant and compassionate stance
How much value do companies place on HR experience in a specific industry? My thought is that HR is HR wherever you go, and it shouldn’t be difficult to switch industries (e.g. manufacturing to financial services), mid- to late-career. But what has been your experience?
I have worked in the HR space for the past 9 years, however most of my experience has been in Talent Acquisition. I do want to move into a People Operations/Generalist role. I’m planning to go for a HR certificate but unsure if I should go for a PHR or SHRM. Please advise!
If you are feeling sick or something during the day and WFH, do you feel comfortable napping it off and then getting back to work and working late if needed? I have friends that say this is totally normal and okay but I feel weird about it and can never actually rest to feel better if I do lay down
Can anyone recommend a certificate or course that is actually useful for developing professionals and/or reviewing performance? I don’t want/need something that is just a credential, I’m actually looking to get some formal grounding in these two topics so I can overhaul processes at my consulting firm. Thanks for your advice!!!
Hi there! I need some guidance. HR and global leadership rolled out some amazing new initiatives like not starting until 10 am on Mondays, no meeting Fridays and required 2 additional summer days a month. The problem is, my boss refuses to comply with the initiatives. He constantly scheduled meetings before 8 am on Mondays and after 7 pm on Fridays. He also doesn’t let me take time off. Should I go to HR? I’m really not one to complain but I’m tired and extremely burnt out. Thanks for your help!
I would like to help those wanting to shift careers in HR, minorities, or women going back to the workforce, learn workday coding and ultimately help them get a job in the space. Is there any interest?
Are you folks happy with your decision to make a career in sales? I’m young working in tech sales, but also have my bachelors in psychology, and could see my self happily going for my masters maybe even PHD and being a counselor.
After your DEI training what are the other things have you done to fill in the gaps? More training ? A speaker?
Hi Sales Community - I’m moving from a Mid-Market sales position into Enterprise sales and would love to use this ramping period to enhance my skills. After being in sales for 4+ years I feel decently confident in my sales acumen but I never received any formal training or held an SDR role so I’ve always felt a bit underprepared. I was wondering if anyone has a good sales book recommendation that might be beneficial for me to check out as I head into a more senior role? Thanks!
Currently 31, married with one newborn kid. Wife doesn't work. 70k in undergrad debt and making 120k base. Would love to get m7 MBA and get into strategy. Is it too late/worth it given my situation?
Anyone applying to/currently enrolled/completed Cornell’s Metro NYC EMBA? I just got accepted and I’m looking to connect with anyone who’s gone that route.

I am actually impressed with Frontier Airlines. Thought it was more like greyhound but feels like a well maintained megabus. Coming from a Delta Platinum. :)
Decent/good performer in industry, 1.5 yoe. Any cons to bringing up promotion to my manager? (instead of waiting for them to bring it up)
At what point is it considered to be ok to bring up salary with a recruiter? I don’t want to be unprofessional but at the same time I don’t want to waste everyone’s time if the salary is too low.

I was raped when I was 15, and ended up pregnant. I tried to abort but the professionals I've seeked help from turned out to be Pro life, and before I know it, I have passed the time to abort. I got kicked out of home as soon as I turned 16 due to what happened, have lived at women's shelter, and had to claw my way out of the abyss. Now my son is 12. I have always looked after him, make sure he's taken care of. He's a great kid, smart, calm and polite. But secretly I resent him, he reminds (cont
How do I answer the salary question in a recruiter phone screen? What’s a reasonable mid-level salary (raise) to ask for? A slight bump? Highball? Should I mention (a higher # of) what I make now?
Looking for advice: 1.5 YOE. Really dislike consulting so far-WLB is terrible, very unnecessarily stressful, and the work is not interesting to me. I’ve been looking for other opportunities but nothing has come to fruition, and i wasn’t that interested in any of the ops anyways. I really don’t know what I want to do, just feel like I need to get out of this job immediately, even willing to take a comp cut just to find something i would actually enjoy waking up to do. Where do I go from here?
I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. I am experienced in all aspects of HR. How are people with little to no experience coming right out of college obtaining higher level roles than I have currently? It makes my passion for the field just go away.
How big of a raise can I expect if switching from big 4 to regional firm after 2 years? (Midwest market)
Alaskan Air v Delta question. I'm based in Seattle and will be doing a lot of domestic USA travel (likely mostly to Vegas). If the only criteria we're examining is the best point reward system for use for leisure domestic and international travel (also considering use of partner airlines in the case of Alaskan Air), which would you choose?
