Seeing a lot of posts about SDRs and concern over CTR and response rate. After a while you need to think about changing the medium, not the messaging.
Will Workday be more or less relevant to you in a few years? My org is looking at adopting Workday for HR and some FP&A purposes. We try to be a forward looking org and only adopt things that will be relevant a few years down the road. We've heard mixed things about Workday and I just want to hear from those that use it what you think. Will it be more or less relevant to your org a few years from now?
What’s a good way to advocate for yourself as an employee? I struggle with how to make the work I’m completing/my efforts sound impactful.
How do your companies recognize technical (e.g., STEM) accomplishments? I’ve heard of old school things like fellowships and “Distinguished Engineer” titles. Wondering what other places do now. I’m struggling to see where my path leads if I don’t want to be a people manager and instead focus on becoming a top technical IC instead. Are there clear paths for that anymore?
What do you include at the end of an online application? Is it necessary to include FCRA rights, an EoE clause, etc., or is it okay to remove this information and include it in the job posting/advertisement?
We have a lot of inexperienced managers and leaders throughout the company. I wanted to propose bringing on a L&D leader who has experience creating long-term curriculums for managers and executives. For those that have a management training philosophy, who runs it and how often,m?
Hi, I recently move apartments and companies and I’m wondering if I’ll have to notify my old company of the move for them to ship my W2 to the right place. They used adp and my current company does too. Any help is appreciated!
Do seasoned enterprise reps actually think that MEDDIC helps the sales process? This is coming from the perspective that champions are undervalued and the economic buyer in a F500 company does not usually speak with vendors. The market here is developer tooling. Curious to hear thoughts as many sales leaders use MEDDIC as an inspection tool to manage sales reps with little practical value for deals.
How do Talent leaders run effective recruitment meetings? Do you focus on key metrics and priority roles? Are you doing anything else to hold others accountable? Would love to hear more!
What are your tips and tricks, go-to sites, etc. to stay up to date on the latest HR legal and compliance information?
We have a fixed PTO time plan (very generous) but leftover rates by now are enormous. It’s gonna be about 160 hours of unused PTO per employee in the end of the year, and we only rollover 80. We thought about rolling over everything, but then accruals get too high. Does anyone have creative ideas how we can roll over excessive hours and don’t make them wages at the same time...
How is your company handling COVID-19 positive cases in the office? We had one of our first positive cases and they said that person go back after a week as long as they aren’t showing symptoms 👀
With us still living in a remote environment and employee appreciation month coming up on October - interested in what you are thinking of doing? Always harder when we can’t all physically be together. Many thanks
Hi! What are your companies doing regarding sign on bonuses for interns this year? We ended up having our full intern program this summer and plan to extend offers. Are companies getting rid of sign on bonuses for entry level employees this year? Any insight would be appreciated!
CA Law question. What are you doing with arbitration agreements? Interested to hear from everyone, and from securities industry too! We didn’t hire since January, but want to start next year, and the whole AB 51 thing is confusing.
Currently, we're using JazzHR for our ATS and importing new hires in ADP WorkForce Now, our HRIS and where we run payroll. JazzHR has been great, and ADP has mostly been a pain. We're also using Concur for expenses. Just did a demo with Paycom and was generally really pleased, except the ATS which seems really bare bones compared to JazzHR. Is it worth trading the ease and functionality of our standalone ATS to get an all-in-one solution?
Our company is considering offering 401K employer match. We are about 200 employees venture backed company. We have about 60% participation mostly the non HCEs and only some key employees contribute. We always pass top heavy test and wpassed the 2019 ADP/ACP test. We are aggressively hiring and project there will be increase in participation, particularly if we offer the match. Given this information would it make sense to continue with a traditional 401k plan or go with safe Harbor plan?
Just venting. I’m tech, and many employees (like 85%) think that being a jerk is a badge of honor and their EQ is like at high school level, so talking to them about diversity issues is like banging head against the wall. They insist that any diversity hire is costing a job to another person with PhD. On top of it, another fancy thing to do in tech is to hate HR. So the conversations usually are like “Oh, you’re in HR, I understand now why you have such a stupid opinion”.
My small business is looking into sales force for around 15 licenses. Anyone work at a small business and have success with sales force? Any tips on target price for the entry level stuff?

"Friendship is a deep oneness that develops when two people speaking the truth in love (not necessarily romantic love) to one another, journey together to the same horizon." Thoughts?
Anyone else here prescribed ADD meds? Been prescribed since school. I’ve wanted to get off of them because they’re horrible for you, but the job is just too demanding to stop. Can anyone relate?
What would prevent a staff getting promoted to senior if they had 106% utilization, BD work, great reviews..?
Huge buy in opportunity for XVG and here’s why: Part of the reason Bitcoin (BTC) and Monero (XMR) gained traction is bc it was a good coin for identity protection. XVG does that but better
It’s my second year teaching and this has been a super tough year and making me think I should’ve gone through with becoming an SLP.. i’m hating teaching this year and don’t know what to do
TFW you are making a deck on the client’s template, and they have an obnoxiously large logo in the footer, cutting usable space by a solid 10%, excluding the slide title area
Other advisors have told me that EDJ will be changing compensation for their FA's including compensation for trainees effective 1st of the year. If you are aware of any details, please let me know.
Interviewing undergrads makes me glad I came in as an experienced hire. I never would have survived this process
