Will Workday be more or less relevant to you in a few years? My org is looking at adopting Workday for HR and some FP&A purposes. We try to be a forward looking org and only adopt things that will be relevant a few years down the road. We've heard mixed things about Workday and I just want to hear from those that use it what you think. Will it be more or less relevant to your org a few years from now?
I'm in software sales, and pretty new to it. I like sales, and want a career in it, but I'm wondering what other industries have lucrative sales careers.
Just venting. I’m tech, and many employees (like 85%) think that being a jerk is a badge of honor and their EQ is like at high school level, so talking to them about diversity issues is like banging head against the wall. They insist that any diversity hire is costing a job to another person with PhD. On top of it, another fancy thing to do in tech is to hate HR. So the conversations usually are like “Oh, you’re in HR, I understand now why you have such a stupid opinion”.
It’s great to have an HR forum! Curious what “staying connected” strategies are being implemented to stay in touch with furloughed employees?
What are your company’s plans are for this year's holiday parties? Will that still be a thing? Zoom holiday parties 🤨?
I wanted to pass along a sales class opportunity for all of yall. I will add the disclaimer that I am in no way making any commission by showing you this. In fact, I am paying myself to take this course. The presenter Jamal is a down-to-earth guy that has a passion for sharing what he has learned in his sales career. He is responsible for bringing in $160M projects at Oracle. Give the course a look if you are interested.
Curious, how many companies out there have a dedicated learning and development team? If you don't, who is responsible for the development of your employees?
I let an employee know we would not be revisiting their sales commission plan mid year. They threatened to start looking for another job. How does one respond to that

I’m curious to see what the average pay for a campus recruiter in NYC is. I’m one year into this role, came in entry level, and already got promoted, but I want to make sure I’m getting fairly compensated. Any other recruiters here?
How has COVID-19 impacted your company and your benefits? (Examples: layoffs, furloughs, terminations, no more 401K matching, no promotions, hiring freeze?) Please share :)
I was recently put on a 30day plan, busted my ass on it and was let go during covid. I’m beyond hurt and I feel very targeted and it never felt fair. What else could I do? I’m embarrassed and I recently came across one of the women who never liked me on social media and all the feels felt fresh again.
I’m getting texts from my Director past 10pm on weekday evenings. What do you do to set boundaries with your leaders? How do you let them know that you are in their corner, while still setting boundaries?
We have a new CEO, brand new executive team and now a new CHRO. Feeling like the earth underneath me has been shaken, and not sure how to acclimate myself to the new leadership team. Any insights from previous experiences?

Hi everyone. I have started to dislike my current role simply due to the nature of audit work. My team is amazing and I have made some great relationships. But day by day it’s getting harder for me to stay focused at work. I have been with the firm for 1 year now. I know many of you have been working in public accounting for so many years now. Can anyone please share how do you cope with this sort of work environment and stay in the firm?

Agency VP salaries for 8-10 years experience? Bonus? Seems like PR skews a bit lower than ad/digital shops. Especially interested in those outside of NY/SF.
