Most of our employees work from home (WFH). I have one with whom I am unable to make contact on the phone, texts, or emails outside of her scheduled hours and during her scheduled hours. When she is logged in and working, I am able to contact her through her computer's phone extension. Is it appropriate if I tell her that she needs to reply to my texts and/or get her phone fixed if it's not a work-provided phone?
I recently moved to a new company. As I get access to all the systems, I noticed that I have access to HR function (peers, managers) data within the HRIS system and other sources. I am not planning to look at the data but I'm concerned that peers can see my compensation, etc., if I can see theirs. At the company I came from, HR data was extremely safeguarded and restrictive within our systems. Is this something I should bring up to my manager?
Has “We need to get back to normal ASAP!” been drilled into your head as well? I don’t see things going back to normal for A WHILE.
Has anyone ever de-coupled compensation from titles? With covid/ uncertain economy we can’t afford to give raises, but I’d like employees to see career progression and personal growth as they are working their a$$es off

Any advice on direct contacting hiring managers for a job you want? I get that in theory it’s the same as selling anything but for people who’ve done it before what did you do, and how did it work out?

I'm currently a recruiter, with an HR background looking to make a slight career pivot. As an introvert, the recruitment aspect has been draining however, I do enjoy the non-phone screen aspects of it. I enjoy consulting with managers and looking at comp, internal equity and providing data to my hiring managers. I would love to know if there is anyone that has done a similar pivot (whether it's recruiter, HR generalist, etc.) to a Comp Analyst and what that transition has been like.
Hi everyone, I work for large startup (300 employees) and I have been asked to develop a Progressive HR manual template. Some examples include gender neutral restrooms, lactation rooms, signing off emails with pronouns, and etc. Any tips/links for resources to help would be appreciated.
It's great to finally have a bowl of our own! In terms of HCM software, what is something that all of them tend to be missing, aside from a good user experience?

For those of you working at smaller firms: do you miss the social element of big firms? I find I can get lonely/wish there was a more diverse group of people
What would you change about your firm (or this entire industry) to make it a better place to work?
Thinking about moving to freelance work. In pharma, how much should I charge? I’ve never done Freelance before
Everyone ripping on Florida is missing the point of the lockdown. People were always going to get sick. The point was to build the testing and medical capacity to deal with the inevitable surge. It seems like many of you just want everything to stay shut down forever. I hope those of you who are like this are the first to be laid off. Just read today 80%+ of small restaurants won’t survive this. Life must go on, and we cannot wait until a vaccine for that, since there’s no guarantee.
Has Anyone moved from an ad agency to media agency on the account management side? Positives / negatives?
Hey y’all - we get asked for a very simple, quality not important camera, for things like focus groups. We used to use flipcams just because they’re “idiot proof”. What do people use/offer?

Any suggestions on what to do differently considering the current economic climate? I’m at a Big 4 firm (not Deloitte) and concerned about layoffs. I haven’t taken any vacation this year and don’t want to take the voluntary hour reduction either. I plan to just keep my head down and deliver/sell as best I can. Should I be more proactive? Get involved with a specific big account I’ve been avoiding for a while now?
