Many of us are guilty of this bias. It starts with how you picture a woman in her 50s upwards, who you choose to hire between an older and younger lady and your motivations for doing so. The media has contributed to fueling an age bias about what a woman looks like in her 50s. Yet the reality is not the same. Age discrimination is still alive in many work places. If you’re a person making hiring decisions check your bias so your brand doesn’t keep misrepresenting a huge population of women.
