Currently, we're using JazzHR for our ATS and importing new hires in ADP WorkForce Now, our HRIS and where we run payroll. JazzHR has been great, and ADP has mostly been a pain. We're also using Concur for expenses. Just did a demo with Paycom and was generally really pleased, except the ATS which seems really bare bones compared to JazzHR. Is it worth trading the ease and functionality of our standalone ATS to get an all-in-one solution?

First time ever that my adversary is an insurance defense firm. Any tips, or resources you suggest I consult? Not sure how I understand how to negotiate particularly because there are multiple policies involved here. I don’t practice PI, so this circumstance is unusual.
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
Looking to learn more about how others determine the correct cadence to advertise for evergreen requisitions or invitations to join a talent pool without over saturating the audience?
How documented and transparent is the performance evaluation process at your orgs? Do your orgs go out of their way to publish the process broadly to employees?
We have a lot of inexperienced managers and leaders throughout the company. I wanted to propose bringing on a L&D leader who has experience creating long-term curriculums for managers and executives. For those that have a management training philosophy, who runs it and how often,m?
How is your company handling PTO/vacation specifically if it’s a “use it or lose it” policy? Are you still requiring employees to use it in 2020, or will there be leniency to move it to next year?
What are some nice things you can do for your legal assistant? To show your appreciation, or to make their job easier?
After working as TA for the past 2 years in my first ever HR job, I have Been thinking about looking for my next stage in my HR career. I was wondering what would you recommend me doing in this search, as other then these 2 years I don’t have experience or certifications?
Does the word “inclusion” do more harm than good? What if the panel we simply said “Diversity & Equity”? My thought here is that inclusion insinuates that anyone who isn’t in the “majority” needs to feel “included”, which could be somewhat off putting. Shouldn’t the goal be for everyone to feel equal instead of simply feeling included? I’d love to get some opinions on this!
I have an associate who always looks like a “hot mess”. Hair disheveled, tied up on top of her head, looks like she just literally rolled out of bed. We are a small firm in a small town. I have tried to talk with her before and still the same result. Any advice on how to deal with it?
So sick of my job (I’m a junior commercial litigator) but the local market is taking a crap and I can’t find a new one. Can’t get enough hours here either. How do I keep my spirits up?
Can I ask my senior associate if I’m doing an okay job? For context, we’re on several matters together and I want to correct any mistakes WHILE we’re working together, not ask about them after.
Do you ever get conscious telling people that you work in HR? I feel like there is a stigma against our profession.
What do you consider appropriate assignments for paralegals? For assistants? Different firms seem to have different philosophies. If you could include some info about your firm/practice group (e.g., AmLaw50/100/200, boutique, solo, plaintiff or defense side, litigation or transaction, etc.), that would be helpful.
Trying to leave for 10k salary bump, offered 10k sign on as well. Current comp is 130k. Couldn’t negotiate more. Should I leave or stay and wait for a bigger fish?
Looking for a position as a MarTech Architect Strategist, Project Manager, or Consulting type role around Marketing Data and Technology. McKinsey has a MarTech role ope that I applied for that is near exactly what I'm looking for if anyone knows of anything similar.
Tax question for you all. So I just received my stimulus and only got $95. At first I was confused because I made less than $60k salary for 2019 but remembered I did a Roth conversion end of December 2019 for around $25k. So it looks like they are counting that as income all for 2019 even though it is an accumulation of income from all my prior years of work. Is there anything I can do or do I just need to accept the $95 rather than the full $600?
I am scared to find jobs outside of big 4.. is this normal? I am scared that once I leave big 4 it’ll be much harder to switch jobs / get promoted / get raises .. etc and that I’ll stop learning
Anyone get their security + certification without any prior background knowledge? How long did it take you to study for it?
I’m an HR Generalist. My job is a mix of recruitment and Employee Relations. I find the recruitment aspect to be pretty enjoyable and stress free, but the Employee Relations aspect does often give me a lot of anxiety (I’m a very anxious person to begin with). Recently, it’s been worse because I have several ER cases currently that seem like they could be potentially turning into lawsuits. Do others in ER experience these anxieties? If so, how do you manage them?
Is it appropriate to ask to flex time off if I’ve been working “OT”/long hours for a project? I’m junior IHC & new to the job (though I interned at the company for 1.5 years before becoming IHC). The company has a relaxed culture and good work life balance. Example: my coworkers (non-attorney) will typically just announce that they’re flexing on x day because of x reason. When I started as In House Counsel, my original GC told me to pick my schedule, and was fine with my 8-4 choice (cont)
Has anyone done a fun virtual happy hour with their teams during WFH? (Wine tasting, cocktail making, painting, games, etc.). I’m looking for recommendations along those lines! Please mention if they went well/poorly, any feedback, and what Company your team used for the event. Thanks 😀
New SPG App is available for download - refresh your app store and download the latest version. Looks cool but I liked the original one :(
Is it appropriate to talk with your M and SM about your concern over layoffs? I want to talk to them about wanting to increase my workload and scope.
We have been hearing the misery at Big 4 and tier 2 Consulting firms about minimal or zero hike or bonus. How has it been for top Consulting firms like MBB or ATK, this year? What is the range of hike and bonus you guys have received?
