Currently, we're using JazzHR for our ATS and importing new hires in ADP WorkForce Now, our HRIS and where we run payroll. JazzHR has been great, and ADP has mostly been a pain. We're also using Concur for expenses. Just did a demo with Paycom and was generally really pleased, except the ATS which seems really bare bones compared to JazzHR. Is it worth trading the ease and functionality of our standalone ATS to get an all-in-one solution?
How do your companies recognize technical (e.g., STEM) accomplishments? I’ve heard of old school things like fellowships and “Distinguished Engineer” titles. Wondering what other places do now. I’m struggling to see where my path leads if I don’t want to be a people manager and instead focus on becoming a top technical IC instead. Are there clear paths for that anymore?

Adventures in Interviewing: Today we were wrapping up a pretty good interview with a strong potential candidate. When asked if they had any last questions, they said that they had an issue with our Work from Home policy (we’re 100% WFH right now, and will not consider a re-opening strategy until everyone is vaccinated). The candidate declared that they did not believe in vaccines, so we needed to allow her to be a permanent remote hire. I guess I’m glad about the dodged bullet, so there’s that.
Anyone else seriously considering starting their own agency? There are so many inefficiencies in large holding companies and we get so few of the benefits.
What are your firms doing to support working parents during the pandemic?? We’re trying to find a way to support parents as they navigate e-learning and working at the same time.
Does anyone have any study tips or can suggest a helpful study tool for the HRCI SPHR exam? I used BenchPrepHR to help me prep and took a few practice test. I took my exam last week and unfortunately did not pass. Any tips would be helpful to help me prepare to retake in a few months.
In the in the likely new age of working from home 90% of the time.. is it a good time to tell my boss about my plans to move to a different state? Wondering if they will want to keep me since we won’t be going into the office anytime soon or if they’ll just want to replace me

Anyone else consistently turn down jobs that pay more because you don't want to see your salary plateau in industry and you feel that making SM/MD/Partner would be more lucrative than going to F500?
After having initial conversation with a recruiter, what’s the best way to let them know you’re not interested in the role but in a way that they can reach back out when something is a better fit?
