My team has made tremendous efforts during the pandemic to ensure the safety of all facilities and people in our region as we resume in-office activity. Predicated on confidentiality, my colleague went to HR with negative feedback re a specific leader’s flexibility with the *mandatory* PPE protocol. The HR Manager went directly to the leader and gave the feedback along w my colleagues name. Since that day she’s been heavily “taxed.” HR has a responsibility to protect anonymity. How to handle?
I’m curious: what kind of roles are out there for someone who wants to use creativity within the HR space?
Has anyone had a request to terminate an employee after they returned from a leave of absence? What was your experience like?
How do you communicate with employees who don't want to wear masks? Unbelievable to me people still have issues grasping this need.
I have seven years' experience in executive search (based in APAC but have worked on global roles) and want to leave the industry for either an in-house talent role or a consulting firm. I haven't had much luck when I've applied for internal roles in the past. Do I have any chance at getting an in-house talent acquisition role, or is an executive search skill set just regarded as too weird/not the right fit for internal talent teams?

Anybody ever look into “Monday.com” to organize the operation of a management team for a sales organization? Is it impactful?
How do you review resumes in a way that reduces implicit bias? I just finished reading the book, "Biased," which discusses the implicit biases we all hold. Our company has not invested in an ATS software, and we’re looking to create a scoring rubric / database in excel based on the job description and candidates. What are ways to ensure the resume review process controls for bias and is still efficient / expedient?
I'm an Ops Manager and we have about 150 employees. I'm being forced to create an "Outdoor Office." Has anyone else dealt with this sort of initiative? Is it just me or is this a bad idea?
Living in SF but remote until September (earliest). Rent is too high + apartment too small to justify staying for 3+ months. Playing with the idea to leave (temp or perm). Are people doing the same?
I posted a question a week or so ago about how to read 10-K's. Today, I found a sales summit that is coming up that has a presentation on this topic. I posted the link below if yall want to check it out. https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/sales-success-summit
Has anyone had to deal with employee professionalism issues due to mishaps on Zoom / remote work culture?
How has COVID-19 impacted your company and your benefits? (Examples: layoffs, furloughs, terminations, no more 401K matching, no promotions, hiring freeze?) Please share :)
Am I wrong in thinking that failing to follow up with a candidate after the initial phone screen (not the interview) is not a deadly sin? We talk to 30-40 people every week, and as much as we try, some people (especially the ones who show negative attitudes) do not hear back from us.
I know titles are an issue in all industries... but can anyone help me understand the difference between the functions of HR Administrator, HR Coordinator, and HR Assistant?
Any advice would be helpful. Recently started at a tech consultancy and am building up the HR function. Thanks!
How much does utilization matter for year end once you've met the target? E.g. if target utilization is 85% but I'm at 105%, will this 20% additionally help? If so, how much does it differentiate you?
Have you guys heard of COTA life sciences ? They use proprietary abstraction technology & oncology expertise to curate data to generate insights . Any valuable information you can provide about company , experience, culture is appreciated .
Offered associate role at mid market uk pe in commercial team. mulling the decision, do ppl think 1. This opens more future doors 2. Future (eg 2 year comp) comp jumps more quickly. Now 2 years in
Hiring committees, how can you actually tell who will be a good associate? I’ve been at two biglaw firms now, and in my experience the kids who didn’t go to T14 schools tend to be the better ones. I have a theory it’s because non-T14 juniors feel like they have to prove themselves more and work harder.
Some of these posts are ridiculous. They’re like just exited consulting to FAANG/Niche Startup with $150k base and $400k TC with 6 months of experience, you can do it too! Then they ghost or explain that they are a former SWE 😬 coming from MBB. Going to some super Niche role that people with crazy backgrounds are recruited for. Congrats, but not everyone has that background
Trying so hard to become a manager in consulting before I'm 30. Is this unrealistic or alternatively, nothing to be proud of? I'm 28, turn 29 in March lol, and am on the promotion track. So freaking close.
Equal pay day is not over just yet so let’s do another survey. Comment your salary, age, level, city, and ethnicity. 80k, 22M, jr analyst, Dallas, Vietnamese
What have you seen people fired for at your agency/ies? (This is meant to give some lessons for others on here)
Yikes. "Starwood said hackers were able to see debit and credit card information..." http://bigstory.ap.org/article/1a407af151984a509da82ea0bf4060f7/starwood-warns-data-breach-54-its-hotels
How have you all delt with people who are workaholics and try to force their choices on you? She chooses to take on and work the way she does. She typically stays 30-40% in utilization above firm goal
Anyone here jumped from ACN/Big 4 to MBB? How have things improved/worsened? I'm burnt out by both hours and type of work but I'm told the work life bal at MBB is worse while work is more interesting.
How much cash do you keep in account vs investment in market? I have pretty big cash position with only 15% invested in market. I am maxing out 401k. No Roth or IRA. No kids, mid 30’s couple with household income about 250K
How long does it take for the hiring managers to make a decision? I had 2 rounds of interview the last 2 weeks. Haven’t hear back yet. Is it a bad sign? Or is it normal
How do you know if an employer is hiring you to do what they say you would work on? Seen horror stories of ppl joined groups to do i.e AI strategy and end up doing something completely unrelated.
