Anyone here a member of Revenue Collective? Is it worth it? What kind of value have you gotten out of it if so? Thanks!

Hi! For the folks who have recently took the SHRM-CP exam this year, how would you describe the test and any tips you can provide would be helpful!
I’m looking for a screening tool that will assess a candidate’s proficiency with MS-Teams. Would anyone know if there is such a thing that exists?
Is it worth it to get a professional certification like SHRM/PHR? Not many of my colleagues have one and it’s not a requirement for my role, but I’m curious if it’s worth it in the long run
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
Are you folks happy with your decision to make a career in sales? I’m young working in tech sales, but also have my bachelors in psychology, and could see my self happily going for my masters maybe even PHD and being a counselor.
Hello, We are a growing company of 250 employees. We are considering Performance Management solutions. I would love get feedback on anyone's experience with any of the below solutions? Kazoo Engagedly Perform Yard CultureAmp Thanks!!
Need to define diverse talent metrics to create a scorecard. Challenge is that the available data is based on opting in/out of self identification, that data point can change dramatically YOY. Any recommendations on metrics and scorecard?
I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company. Each time I ask for guidance on this from my manager, I get told they’ll look into it.... would love some external mentorship and thoughts 🙏🏼
As a company we are looking at going digital with our employee personnel and medical files etc. What are some of the ways you have done that? Any advice/recommended process?
How long, on average, did it take you to study before you could pass the PHR/SPHR exam? Did you think it was worth it?
I have worked in the HR space for the past 9 years, however most of my experience has been in Talent Acquisition. I do want to move into a People Operations/Generalist role. I’m planning to go for a HR certificate but unsure if I should go for a PHR or SHRM. Please advise!
I’m not happy where I’m at, my abilities aren’t being maximized as I’m spread thin, and I know I’m being undervalued. Recently graduated and in property management w/ 3-4 years sales experience. Currently on the hunt for Sales/Account Management roles leaning more towards consumer goods, then tech. Any advice?
Actively seeking a new opportunity and I am slowly starting to feel discouraged due to lack of response. Anyone else having issues searching for employment right now?
I recently started at a larger software company as an AE. As I’m getting more into the process, I’m finding things odd. Like, cold calls and emails are metrics I’m judged on more than closed won business. I know that’s part of the job but it seems strange I’m judged on it so heavily. And, I seem to be the first real outside AE hire as everyone else seems to have been promoted up from SDR roles, including all of my direct management. I’m questioning if I made the right move. Stick it out or look?
I am a five year experienced professional I do have an experience into HR generalist activities such as onboarding, exits, employees engagement, little on HRBP, offshore HR services, I am not sure how to go about my career from here I am not getting any new good opportunities. Should I get some certification or change my career. I feel on the same experience levels others are more skilled, even though I have good interpersonal skills but I could never get an opportunity to showcase in the role.
How long do you typically allow for self assessments and manager assessments for year-end? This year we gave employees a week and managers 3 weeks (holidays not included), but they still said it wasn’t long enough even though most waited until the very last day to complete them.
What are some best practices for handling an employee with dare I say, too much initiative? They tend to steamroll others and processes because they are so fast at their job and rather than taking a breather when done, start digging around for new projects outside of their scope. We value them but want to ensure others are given opportunity to thrive too.
Last year was a tough year for my boss so I stepped in to lead our team. We received an award for navigating through crisis and really were able to impact careers in a positive was from our work. My boss gave me a merit raise of 3% yesterday and was very excited to do so. I’m appreciative of the recognized effort however I still make on the lower end of industry standard. What would you recommend? This is my professional gap too - uncomfortable conversations.
Anyone actually keep their PHR active? I got my cert in 2013 and have done nothing since.
CC wants me to join a project with them. Pros? Cons? What to do and what to look out for?
2nd year female associate &I have a new baby. I’m scheduled to go out of town for busy season but my dad is sick and my parents keep my baby. Can I tell them I can’t travel? Or should I find a new job
FAANG or PE Ops. I currently am in PE Ops consulting but have an offer from Amazon. Any ideas on what would provide more job security? Trying to decide if I should make a jump to FAANG
Deloitte vs. Amazon - What are the pros and cons? Or let's say, Big4 vs. FAANG in general.
High performer looking to jump to Tier 2 from Big 4. 2 years work experience on digital strategy and customer analytics projects. Love my firm but feel held back by peers / want broader experiences.
What is salary range for experienced Tax MD from Big 4 at mid-tier firm like BDO? Anyone made the move? Regrets? Recommendations? advice for offer negotiations?
Best virtual happy hour icebreakers? Need ideas!
Is giving a 1 week notice okay? Waiting for everything to clear with new role before I talk to my current company. I am also taking some time off between job transition.
What's a date you'd love? I'm torn between a physical activity like hiking or biking, or a nice dinner so I can dress up. (Thanks covid, real clothes are now exciting😂)
Anybody with aging parents that can share their stories? My mother lives alone far from me and although she seems good now I don’t know what to expect over the next decade or so and already starting to feel helpless. Any live in parents or guilt trips to help me prepare? Thanks!
Wake up every morning feeling a sense of dread. Initially I thought it was the project - we were working long hours under stressful timelines. Things have slowed down now though, and I still feel anxious and sick to my stomach when I get out of bed. Not sure what’s driving this when I objectively have much less / arguably nothing to be stressed about anymore?
What got you fired or almost fired?
Got an offer to exit to an awesome smaller SaaS company with an amazing culture. They were a top choice out of all the companies I was interviewing with and the role is exactly what I want to be doing. Offer came in at $152k base with $67k RSUs. Team seems great and I had a really good vibe with the hiring manager. Only con is I have to relocate to the Bay Area. Currently 3.5 YOE in analytics consulting at ACN (S&C) at $102k base, but low cost of living. I’d be stupid not to take it, right?
I’m at a new job when we can use personal cards for our corporate expenses and I’m interested in raking in the points. Suggestions on cards with the best perks?? I don’t mind paying a fee if needed.
Just got an offer at ACN as a Strategy Manager and HR made it clear that parental leave was 2 weeks fully paid for men. Theoretically up until 12 weeks is covered by NY State ($900 weekly). What would you do? Have you seen men take a few months off for parental leave in consulting even if unpaid?
Might be a stretch but anyone here work in accounting at salesforce? Curious about the culture
Any other Titan users really excited about their upcoming crypto product. Im sitting at about 40% returns all time (2 years in October) in their Flagship fund so I'd like to think their going to do well in crypto. They've also been hiring like crazy which is a great sign
