I'm frustrated. Everywhere I've worked I've gotten great reviews and even leadership awards. At my last company my boss was promoted to CAO. She hired a director but made her VP of HR at hire due to someone leaving. VP ran 6 HR directors out of the co (we all left without jobs lined up). After I left my team quit & the CAO was fired. Now they promoted this VP to a Sr VP. I gave so much, got nothing, yet she fell into SVP. I have a new Director level job. How do I break into the VP level?
The owners of our company like to do a holiday handout at Thanksgiving each year. They used to do a whole Thanksgiving meal (turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, pie). Last year there was a lack of available turkeys in the quantity we needed, so we switched it up and did a bottle of sparkling cider with a $25 gift card. This year the owners want to do something different but they are not sure what. Does anyone have any suggestions? We have about 300 employees in one location. Thanks!!

I’m aiming to grow as a HR professional & want to see myself as an HR expert!
I’ve come from a completely different background ( healthcare) but I have always tried to have transferable skills like interpersonal, relationship building skills, public speaking etc.
My question is by accepting this job ( administrative clerk ) am I taking the right step towards HR expert in long term?
Recruiters!! Is reaching out to the recruiter who organised the interviews after a few days (since no feedback was given as of yet) a sign of desperation? And would that affect salary negotiations? Asking for a friend !

What is a competitive OTE for first time Director of Enterprise Sales? 15 yoe. Enterprise AE for the last 9ish years. Also a bit concerned about overall income. Last 3+ years have been very good. How do you handle a toxic leader in dictatorship environment? A leader that cannot take feedback, but instead manipulate you and yell at you for not “knowing your audience”. Oh and the company is owned by himself and his wife.
I’m in a sales support role and almost always receive very positive feedback in my 1:1 meetings with my bosses and during my more formal year end reviews, but I can’t help but feel like I’m stuck or I’m missing something that’s stopping me from getting to the next level. I switched jobs 6 months ago into a company that I was super excited about in industry. It’s been the hardest months of my life - working 80 hours a week, leadership adds more and more work even when I push back, and there is zero recognition.
I’ve shared with leadership that I’m overloaded and don’t get any support - told I have to “do it myself” if other teams don’t help. I tend to cry when angry and really struggling not to break into tears in my 1:1.

I am lacking ideas - I have skill (coding), enthusiasm, will power to build something so people can use it, benefit from it.
So I need some suggestions, or ideas to look for? Or from where I should be starting out.
We have some soil from flower beds to get rid of, and the official response to remove it is hire a commercial waste hauler.

Trying to brainstorm ideas on leveraging being selected as a finalist by NATO in the Countering Cognitive Warfare initiative (dis/mis/mal information) into more consumer tests/customers.
