I’m curious to see what the average pay for a campus recruiter in NYC is. I’m one year into this role, came in entry level, and already got promoted, but I want to make sure I’m getting fairly compensated. Any other recruiters here?
Interviewed at Huge for a Project Manager role and had to do a live presentation. Gave me a brief, 15 minutes, and expected me to sketch out a full Project Plan and Strategy Reco on a whiteboard 🖕😭
So, Trump is giving corporations a 20% tax break and is taking away the tax benefit of contributing to your 401k. So he effectively took our money and gave it to corporations. Take that middle class.
Can companies actually give extra time off to parents/caregivers only? I have seen this happening due to the pandemic but it doesn’t seem fair to those without caregiving responsibilities. I totally get the stress and extra work in these times but any type of leave addition should be equally distributed IMO.

I have a heavy career choice I need to make. Would love your input, pretty please. I'm a MC now. The travel and the constant, change in clients and underpaid salary compared to peers is too much.....

My male boss recommended the book “The Confidence Code” which is a self help book for women. It was recommended to all the females that work under him. I feel like that's a little inappropriate?
Alright yall, we are out of the July slow down. Time to kick it up and finish this year off. Tell Rona to pound sand and get it done.
How do I cope better with work? Working hours aside, I'm so stressed and can't focus. Emails come in every 1-2 minutes (we don't have a chat function, so the team tends to send emails that are even just one sentence long). My partners keep asking for work "now" and all the deadlines are so tight, and sometimes they ask for multiple things at the same time. Sometimes I just get paralysed and overwhelmed and freeze.
Tax question- moved to nj mid last year and then moved my office to nj in the fall as well. My client is in ny, how the hell do I file and should I get an actual tax person to help me file this year?
For those who have passed the CPA and CISSP in the last 5 years, how does CISSP stack up to CPA in difficulty?

I don't see many people on here from General Dynamics. What's the culture like? I went to a job fair to be cleared to a TS/SCI and they said the background check will take a little over a year lol.
Would it look bad if I extend my start date at a big 4 by three weeks because I need to have a surgery?

Prior to 1983, social security was not taxable. Joe Biden voted successfully in favor of taxing 50% of social security. In 1993, Joe Biden was the deciding vote in raising taxes on social security from 50% to 85%. Now he wants to tax our 401k's and IRA's (page 78, Dems' platform)

My employee’s wife was just hospitalized for COVID. I’m terrified for him. I’m also terrified bc partner wants me to take on his project role and I am NOT qualified to do it but we are out of options
Is it common to switch from one MBB to other? Feeling kind of let down by the work I’m doing currently.
'Performative workaholism’. I feel like this describes everyone I’ve ever met from Deloitte. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/26/business/against-hustle-culture-rise-and-grind-tgim.html?action=click&module=Editors%20Picks&pgtype=Homepage
When companies decide to delay their return to the office, what are they basing it on? Local laws? Building restrictions? Mgmt’s thoughts on COVID? Fall school/day care? Layoffs? Rent reductions? I have a theory that companies’ decisions to return to the physical office are based on different considerations.
