I was just wondering how many teachers live in the same community where they work. I do. I feel it has helped me get to know and understand the community better. Thoughts?
My school wants to reach out to the community and have more involvement, but we do not know how to do that at the high school level.
Do any of you cry because you’re so grateful for everything you have and you feel like you’re not doing enough for the community? I spent the entire day crying and I have no idea why.

Invited to the McKinsey Digital Assessment. Anyone have any tips or insights? Seems like there isn’t much I can prepare based on what I’ve googled, but thought I’d reach out to the community. TIA
What is the best free blogging site? I’m looking for one where people can view without signing up. Students, teachers, administrators, parents, and the community as a whole should be able to view it.
What is the job called when you’re in charge of working with the community ? But it’s within a corporation. (Ex. Teaching kids how to read, financial literacy etc etc)

Does anyone have any tips on how to skill up in PowerPoint and gain “peer” feedback on your slide design and qc process. My manager is lamenting the fact that I don’t have peer associates to learn from because I joined remote. I feel like I’ve lost out on having an “analyst class” and peer to peer learning opportunities. I feel like I’m going to crap out of my dream job in consulting earlier than I know I’m capable of because I just can’t get any real training in remote setting. Feeling 😩
Is a switch from IT Audit (b4) to Product Management (industry) role a good move? C1. Significant pay bump as well.
Was unsuccessful recruiting for top consulting firms during my MBA. I need that money! What is the best approach to landing an interview post MBA? Referral?
Seeking Advice: I thought I could save on taxes and enrolled for a HDHP medical insurance plan for the first time this year, and BHAM - had to schedule an appointment with my GP this Monday for a sports related injury (bummer). Will I have to use my HSA card upfront or will the medical bill be sent later? Also can I bring it up with the hospital folks about the HDHP plan and ask for a discount - does that ever work? Thanks in advance.
It's hard enough to get people on board with an idea in your head even when everyone in the room has a similar background and culture. How do you handle cultural barriers in the workplace?
Hear me out. We’re living in the residual days of advertising power. Back in the day, if you worked in advertising, you very much shaped culture. Advertising creatives shared the airwaves with only the likes of Hollywood and national news. There were only so many pipes into culture and advertising was a big one. But today, the pipes are democratized. Random teens on TikTok are having more impact on culture than Mad Ave. And yet, so much ego and self importance remains.
If interested in MBA and interested in T2 (ATK, OW, AP, A&M), how much does ranking matter? Do they do OCR at more/lower ranked schools than MBB? Are they more receptive to prospective candidates who didn’t participate in OCR than MBB? For simplicity’s sake, assume no covid impact (hiring freeze, etc).
Would you go from a brand name consulting company to a boutique. Assume the raise is going to be about $40k in base, firm won't match. Would also have to move from a low cost city to New York City.
Any insight on how to source land an industry job besides applying directly online? Should I engage a recruiter? I’m only getting inquiries on LinkedIn regarding consulting positions with other professional services firms.
Applying to McKinsey for a associate position. Is it necessary to have a 1 page resume? I have 2 YOE. Do I summarize all my engagements, or mention the top 3 ones?
Anyone currently looking for a referral to Deloitte Consulting? Specifically in the Finance Performance/Service Now space, we are really hiring! However, open to refer for other positions!
Deloitte people: can we expense the $15 early check in fee for southwest? There is a box we can check when booking flights for it that made me think it was included (from how it was phrased). Thanks!
Just had our first team remote call. I have availability and team is looking for work for me, but I’m planning to resign on Friday bc it’s a good time to transition out. Should I tell the SM?
Do companies care about someone applying to 2-3 relevant positions within a week or two or applying to several more (~6) positions over the course of a year or so?
Do you think SAP Concur is purposefully designed to be awful? Like it’s part of the sales pitch - “your employees will hate this system so much they won’t even expense some things! Our clients save thousands of dollars due to crappy interfaces!@
Anyone else getting pressure to always be on camera for all zoom meetings? I get some of the time but I don’t think it’s necessary for all. Any thoughts? Maybe you have a reasoning I don’t know about
Any suggestions on paid / subscription services such as CNBC Pro for investment advice / stock research for investing? I am sitting on 50% of cash in my portfolio and would like to invest over next 6 months. I know I can’t time the market but trying to be better informed for investing 400K nearly. Sold nearly half of my stocks in Covid days for 5% loss. I follow all the market news daily but I feel like I need some paid / subscription service for better guidance but not on commission basis.
Met a Wharton guy yesterday, he said I should change jobs at least once before applying since most of his classmates did more than 1 job. He recommended going to a startup for at least 1 year. I'm not sure since I feel like I've done many different "jobs" in consulting with different projects. Thoughts?
Marketing Week has a mini MBA but it’s 1k+ 🤨 any alternatives to learning business fundamentals (in a more efficient way than a full MBA?)
Hello I am a rising senior and have a full time offer for a T2 consulting after graduation. Before this whole pandemic I was planning to apply to mbb. Is it still worth it? Will they be hiring on the fall?

What is the purpose of a flipped classroom? Some teachers are doing their lessons via video so the kids are prepped before class. Then, what do they do in class?
I’m a 2nd year and effectively just ran a deal on my own with the partner. It ran smoothly, I got praise from the partner, and the partner said that they trust me to do most stuff without their sign off (so no need to check with them in future unless I’m really unsure). Generally there is one or two mid levels above me, and I find it way harder to do my job when they are managing me. They like to keep me on the bench, get me to do minor tasks and don’t let me take responsibility and ownership.

Do any big 4 or MBB firms do brand consulting?
We had a lockdown drill, and the police came into each classroom. They told our students to fight back and to listen to the teacher’s instructions. I’m not a freakin’ ninja. I’m an English teacher. This is insane.
