Why does it cost more to hire someone from outside of the agency than hiring a former freelancer in the agency as a full-timer? Also, the outsider’s salary is quarter of what the new full-timer is getting. The math just doesn’t add up to me.
The&Partnership is both the UK’s largest and Europe’s fastest-growing independent agency network, increasingly known for its innovative in-sourced model. Backed by WPP and spanning four continents, with 1,500 staff, the multi-disciplined agency group last year saw a year of record growth, expanding across 17 new European markets and doubling in size against a challenging industry backdrop. It attributes this rapid expansion to the success of its in-sourced ‘&Model’ agencies, with multi-disciplined, on-site teams working alongside clients’ marketing departments in new, nimble ways, to a single bottom line; delivering data-driven work to fit new marketing agendas. These multi-disciplined ‘&Model’ agencies are driving impressive results for clients including News UK and TalkTalk in London, The Wall Street Journal in New York, TELUS in Canada, RBS in Edinburgh, as well as Toyota and Lexus across 17 markets in Europe. The&Partnership also has offices in London, New York, Canada and Asia, and is partnered with global media planning and buying network m/SIX through a joint venture with GroupM.
My boss is overdelegating to the point where I’m on the tipping point of quitting because of my decline in mental health, burnout/exhaustion, and frustration with him but also clients and the agency.

It's great to finally have a bowl of our own! In terms of HCM software, what is something that all of them tend to be missing, aside from a good user experience?
I just got fired from job as an Account executive at a company for not performing well enough after 3 months (Even though we are still in middle of pandemic in NYC).I want to get into SaaS sales soon. Does anyone have any advice on what do next? where I can find a good company that will invest in my growth & training? Or jobs for sales people that are flexible and have good work-life balance? Want to weigh my options before I jump in the next opportunity
Just as an idea, this new Lincoln Project ad is bananas. To make Trump the audience for an anti-Trump ad—to tell him to be MORE paranoid....to understand the thing he’d hate the most is other people making money, or looking good on TV....to try to make him eat himself from the inside....it’s kind of evil but so unexpected. Slicing an artery rather than swinging with a sledgehammer. https://youtu.be/bk6d4TgO2NY
Our company usually does performance evaluations in June of each year. Our pay philosophy is not clear. We usually give a COLA in January each year, somewhere around 2% and if an employee performed well, they get above the 2%. I have suggested we change our process to have a clear pay philosophy with increases tied to performance, with goals tied to overall goals of the organization. What is your process? Are you doing performance evals during COVID?
Anyone have experience leaving NYC for a ‘3rd tier’ market (v small city). I’m debating a move —it would mean a 50% salary cut but hopefully a better balance and a happier me! Thoughts?

I should be more sensitive but I think it's fucked up to start a new job and tell your boss after a week that you will be out on maternity leave in 4 months.
Living in SF but remote until September (earliest). Rent is too high + apartment too small to justify staying for 3+ months. Playing with the idea to leave (temp or perm). Are people doing the same?
Sorry I do not want to go to your virtual conference unless my agency will fly me to the city it was supposed to be in, put me up in a hotel and expense all my meals for three days, and you send me home with a tote bag full of somewhat useful household items with unrelated brand logos on them.
Can anyone tell me the difference between an ACD and VP ACD position? Recruiters seem so stuck on not throwing in the VP as a freebie.
TGIF I got approval to give someone on my team who deserves it a promotion effective 11/1. The greatest accomplishment of my last 3 months at work, hands down.

What are the main differences between a junior and mid level designer? I think I’m deserving of a promotion but want to check myself first.

Let’s say one booked a personal trip using a personal card that had to be cancelled for work. The change fee has been expensed. Can subsequent work travel also be expensed with the remaining credit?

Does anyone know anything about applying to Columbia J-term? Acceptance rate is not listed anywhere, but I assume it’s higher than the regular term. Anyone successful?
PARTNERS: two questions —1. If you see an associate has really low hours for the month, do you imagine them chillen on a beach somewhere or do you consider they probably spent most of their days sitting in front of the computer being “available”? 2. If you send an associate a random e-mail on a weekend like “Can you pull X and send to Y”, would you get annoyed if they responded saying they weren’t by a comp or would you consider it reasonable that they wouldn’t be by a comp on a weekend?
Anyone here fly in/out of DCA or IAD within the last month or so?
