As a company we are looking at going digital with our employee personnel and medical files etc. What are some of the ways you have done that? Any advice/recommended process?

Pfizer is 80% effective after the first dose and 90% effective after the second dose, according to a new real world study. Most ill effects are from the second shot. So I’d prefer not to take the second shot. Am I wrong?
This might be a dumb question, but can an arbitration be seated in New York but apply the law of Switzerland?
Advice on taking and passing the SPHR exam?
I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. I am experienced in all aspects of HR. How are people with little to no experience coming right out of college obtaining higher level roles than I have currently? It makes my passion for the field just go away.
Hello, We are a growing company of 250 employees. We are considering Performance Management solutions. I would love get feedback on anyone's experience with any of the below solutions? Kazoo Engagedly Perform Yard CultureAmp Thanks!!
How long do you typically allow for self assessments and manager assessments for year-end? This year we gave employees a week and managers 3 weeks (holidays not included), but they still said it wasn’t long enough even though most waited until the very last day to complete them.
Are you folks happy with your decision to make a career in sales? I’m young working in tech sales, but also have my bachelors in psychology, and could see my self happily going for my masters maybe even PHD and being a counselor.
How much heads up to you give a firm for a semi emgrecy medical procedure? I had a gallbladder attack and my doctor wants to remove it. It's not quite emgrecy surgery but not something they want to wait too long. My firm knows I was sick a day this week. How much heads up should I give them that I will be having surgery and might be out for a few days?
Need to define diverse talent metrics to create a scorecard. Challenge is that the available data is based on opting in/out of self identification, that data point can change dramatically YOY. Any recommendations on metrics and scorecard?
Now that networking events are virtual and limited opportunity for face to face meetings - how are new leads being generated besides website traffic. How do you "network" at virtual meetings and presentations?
How long, on average, did it take you to study before you could pass the PHR/SPHR exam? Did you think it was worth it?
Any strategies or resources you could recommend for getting rid of the dreaded annual performance review (or at least lessening the dread) and creating a more effective year round performance feedback system? Our review is currently tied to our end of year bonuses and merit increases, so not sure I could get rid of it entirely. This would be for hourly and management employees, all working on-site.
What is it like to work as a real estate lawyer? I’ve done 4 years of plaintiffs personal injury, I’d like to try something new. Don’t want billable hours. Any thoughts? (Also other types of law suggestions are welcome)
Question for you sales and saas guys. I work for a fast growing startup and we are billing around 200 K a month. I am in charge of the sales team and our CFO mandates that we collect ACH payment information on every agreement. The problem with this is we have to reel in micro deposit amounts from customers and it feels like herding cats. I’ve worked for three great tech companies and I’ve never had ACH nor have I ever paid for services with ACH. Is this a totally dated process?
Hello, curious to know what other companies do for employee spotlights besides the traditional email blast to the company. Any recommendations to better the experience for employees?
What's the harshest thing your Buyer has ever said to you? Ex: Buyer emailed my colleague "instead of sharing photos of our empty shelves why don't you spend your time getting us more product"
This might be a dumb question so pls excuse my ignorance but do non-equity partners get bonuses? Is that a thing?
Was offered a Strategy Consultant role with Accenture (progression point C) for $150k. Asked what the sign-on bonus would be and was told $20k. Is this fair comp? Should I negotiate? I tried to negotiate salary but was told it is fixed. I haven't tried to negotiate sign-on yet, but also feel like it's fair and don't want to lose the offer. What would you do? Background: Program director for a nonprofit for the past 5-7 years. Double masters in education (no mba).
When I started working at 22 I started off with 15% of salary into traditional tax deferred 401k. I’m now 27 with 88k in my tax deferred account, and am thinking about converting it to a Roth account. I don’t know much, but is this advisable? Is it generally the case that is rather pay taxes now if I think I’ll be making more money later in my career, thus I’ll be taxed at a higher rate than compared to today? And when is the best time to convert? Sooner rather than later? When mrkts are frothy?
Indian 32 Female Even after 6 years of marriage I don't like my husband at all. Currently KPMG Strategy, thinking about moving over to ACN “Strat”. Will be a level up from where I am, KPMG Strategy M to ACN SM, which is a nice bump in pay. Probably would be KPMG D in 2 years, so this accelerates me a bit. Other than the compensation, any reason why NOT to do this? Looking at a 25-30% base pay bump.
Hello! I have an inital call with HR coming up for a non-technical program manager role and I’m anticipating the expected total comp question. I’m coming from a non-tech background so I’m not sure what would be reasonable. Not sure what L level this role would be (it’s titled just Program Manager). Role would be in the Bay Area (currently live in DC). I’ve got 10 YOE, mostly in the government (3 in consulting). Any insight would be helpful!
Tips on how to let a law firm know you have another offer? I have the final interview tomorrow at the firm and a partner indicated I’d get an offer but I just received another offer from a different company. I want to let this firm know I have an offer but that they remain my first choice…aka speed up the process so I can let the other company know!
Is 25k good savings on a 100k salary in New York in a year? How much of a blessing is to not have debt early in life?
Recently got a raise (putting me at 68k). Turned down an offer for 75k to stick it out and company said they can’t match. Management sup was laid off. Account director just quit. Need more $$. ADVICE?
I just started a new job and am 10 weeks along in my pregnancy. I interviewed and accepted the offer prior to knowing I was pregnant. When should I break the news to my boss and team? I’m currently working remotely and expect to be remote until at least September.
How do companies in Europe view T15 MBAs from USA? For instance if down the road I relocate to Europe would a T15 MBA from USA give me a competitive edge? Or its just neutral? Europe doesn’t care.
I am beyond stuck in my first 1.5 years of my career. I was over promised opportunities at my first gig and then Covid hit. Leading me to have no portfolio worthy pieces from this 💩 agency with nothing great in sight. (place hasn’t won a pitch in my entire time here + lost clients) I’m juggling re-vamping my site and a side project to hopefully make my book more robust. With no kind of leadership or mentor, I’m just figuring out how to dig myself out of this hole. Any advice for this chump?
Does RSM give a signing bonus?
Need advice fellow fishes in the bowl! I'm currently a senior consultant at PwC, got 8 years of consulting experience. First 4 in EY, now here. Growth has been slow-ish, but thats primarily because of poor negotiation when I was switching I'm not the kind of guy who is driven by running after new clients. I can develop good relations with anyone, yes, but its not something which drives me Now, I've received an ok-ish offer from Bain Capability (BCN) as a project lead (continued in comments)
With reviews happening at Golin, what is your role and salary? How much was your raise? Were you promoted? How much was your salary boost? What city are you based in?
24. Just found out the cause of my chronic serious back pain is a bulging disc. Doc said these don’t go away and can only be “managed”. Should I just stop thinking about PE as an exit option?
Hi, would anyone be available to critique my resume? Also, I want to get out of consulting, but an absolutely horrible at selling myself because I don’t think I’ve done anything in my 3 years here. Does anyone have any good books that may help me with this?
Has anyone on here interviewed at Deloitte finance and enterprise performance in USDC? If you have, can I please DM you ?
Have $300 to spend from my firm on home office accessories! Honestly at a loss to figure out what to get... Already have great chair/standing desk, keyboard, mouse, headphones, monitor. What can you all not work without?
If I know 2020, and I’m pretty sure I do, Biden will win the popular vote by 4 or 5, running up the score in democratic bastions, but lose the entirety of the sun belt by 0-3 points including a very close race in Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, and Arizona. Biden will win WI and MI by slight margins and the PA result will take weeks and end in Supreme Court somehow giving trump the victory. The margin will be 19 votes (a nod to covid). Who wants to give me odds on this?
