Hi! What are your companies doing regarding sign on bonuses for interns this year? We ended up having our full intern program this summer and plan to extend offers. Are companies getting rid of sign on bonuses for entry level employees this year? Any insight would be appreciated!
Our managers want to restructure a role and give someone the option of 2 roles. Is this advisable? Or not?
Vent: it’s really messed up to have recruiters reach out pretending they have a role for you then prying for industry contacts. I’m truly disgusted, don’t pretend to have a role for me then pry for business.
Just need to vent among people who understand me. So we have a multi-generational workplace which is kinda a good thing, generally, but not lately. With the whole opinion polarization around racism, I feel like I don’t know how to be empathetic, impartial and connect people anymore.
Let's see what we are all making. Include current salary, location, industry, and YoE please. Reply using your title. I'm going first in the comments.
Having read the Outward Mindset from the Arbinger Institute I wonder if any of you have used it in your business to help with a cultural mind shift? If so, do you have thoughts you can share? Thanks!!
Looking for basic sales starter pointers for consultant who wants to move up. How did you get started? Pipeline building?
Most of our employees work from home (WFH). I have one with whom I am unable to make contact on the phone, texts, or emails outside of her scheduled hours and during her scheduled hours. When she is logged in and working, I am able to contact her through her computer's phone extension. Is it appropriate if I tell her that she needs to reply to my texts and/or get her phone fixed if it's not a work-provided phone?

Hi, I am bringing together a team through a reorg any suggestions on how to bring a new team together remotely?
This week's tool highlight is Vidyard. If you want a way to connect with your clientele during those WFH times think about using video emails. I will tell you that your first videos will be extremely awkward to you but keep going. There are stats out there showing video emails have more engagement than text alone. Vidyard is a cost-effective way to explore using video emails. Swing by the website and try a video response or two to your customers.
When an employee complains about their manager how do you address it?...The employee was not reporting any harassment allegations; it was the standard “I do everything and make my boss look good while my boss does nothing all day.” There is really nothing to work off of here and I don’t know how to respond other than “sorry that sucks” and “what do you suggest be done?”
I attended a webinar yesterday on writing inclusive job postings. I'm happy to say our organization had already started to implement most of the advice in that webinar and there were a lot of great ideas presented. One idea I'm still iffy about is that they recommended removing all bullet points from job postings and instead write things in paragraph-form. What do you think? Will we start to see a move away from bullet points in job postings? Is this something your company has implemented?
I’ve been a sales manager for a little over a year. In that time I’ve worked harder than I ever have before for significantly less pay then I made in sales and now the company is saying they may not pay me my quarterly bonus based on territory performance even after acknowledging that the numbers were un-achievable due to being on hiring freeze and being understaffed. My question is, is this normal for middle management?
Can anyone tell me more about KPMG FM? What type of projects/industries are you on? WLB? Do you travel? What is with the hiring frenzy?
What % of people in the agency business for 10-12 years have experienced 1 or more layoffs? Just got laid off for the 1st time last week and think it’s more common than I realized.
Not sure which firm, but looks like yet another shady MBB deck 🤦🏻♂️ (episode: how Turbo Tax obstructs free tax filing for poor people) What the hell are we doing here busting our asses?
What are the typical paths to a Corp strategy role? What does progression look like in a big Corp to getting to a true strategic position?
Ladies, how is the wlb once you start your family? Do you plan to move to industry for a more relaxed and flexible work or a more 9-5 job? In consulting its never really 9-5... i feel overworked, stressed out, burnt out and can’t think of anything else after a long day of work. I wonder how I will manage an infant on top of that
Analyst currently doing Function design work, no real developer experience. I’m gearing towards a Solution Architect certification in the hopes that it can open up an easier role shift in maybe a few months. Is it likely this will be an effective strategy? Are the AWS certs looked at as legit?

Is it foolish nowadays to wait for real, dreamy once-in-a-lifetime kind of love to happen naturally? Can I still believe in serendipitous love coming into my life when I least expect it? Just want to hear any stories of love finding you in the strangest but most magical way... feeling like a lot of people are telling me to be realistic and hop on a dating app and make things happen by myself but just want to believe in higher powers, you know?
